After looking at the schedule I think most of the crowds will be controlled pretty well due to conflicts and shorter sets. Most anyone who is big has someone else playing just as big at the same time. The only one that stands out alittle is Ben Fold vs. Tears for Fears. I think way more people are intrigued to see TFF, so that crowd could be pretty big, but then again, a lot of people will be getting ready for Gary and Kendrick, so it's hard to say really that any one act will be hard to see, so maybe thats the best feature of this schedule! Most of your biggest crowds will depend on how the late nights play out. If Bassnectar goes well past 2 am then Flumes set will get impacted, but if Bassnectar ends at 2 then expect Flume to be jam packed from 2-? Not so much the same with Friday Night. If Deadmau5 goes past 1:30, it will slim all 3 of the other ln acts obviously, but I feel those 3 will evenly spread anyways. I think with MMJ playing only 1.5 hrs Jim James will yet again lead the superjam, and with all the dislike of the lineup, it may be extra crazy. That would slim the Bassnectar crowd down a lot more, so who knows.

Less than a month before Roo a lot of trends have continued, but there have been a few momentum shifts in popularity. Ben Harper's crowd has shrunk significantly, of course due to being scheduled during Kendrick. STS9 is going up pretty quickly, probably due to being the latest thing going Friday night. My Morning Jacket has had a surge in schedule adds, possibly due to their prime scheduling time. Here's an update of several lists as of 5/15:
27. Hiss Golden Messenger (-0.1) 26. Iceage (-0.2) 25. Tears for Fears (-0.2) 24. Shabazz Palaces (-0.6) 23. The Very Best (-0.6) 22. Against Me! (-0.6) 21. Guster (-0.7) 20. Atmosphere (-1.5) 19. Freddie Gibbs & Madlib (-1.6) 18. Dawes (-1.6) 17. Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn (-1.8) 16. Atomic Bomb! (-2.1) 15. Caribou (-2.3) 14. Jerry Douglas (-2.6) 13. Between the Buried and Me (-2.8) 12. Bleachers (-3.1) 11. Gary Clark, Jr. (-3.3) 10. Medeski, Scofield, Martin, & Wood (-6.3) 9. Childish Gambino (-6.5) 8. Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals (-8.8) 7. SBTRKT (-9.4) 6. Belle & Sebastian (-9.9) 5. Robert Plant (-10.5) 4. Slayer (-11.0) 3. Earth, Wind, & Fire (-16.4) 2. Bluegrass Superjam (-16.4) 1. Ben Folds & Ymusic (-33.5)
I didn't put numbers for the predicted crowd sizes because I'm still trying to figure out how to predict that based off weighted shares of the crowd at specific times. Because the schedule is staggered, that's getting difficult. Any suggestions? Bright minds of Inforoo?
Looking at these numbers I was like "WTF, who would do this!?" then I remembered you're a math teacher. You should probably work Bonnaroo into as many lessons as possible.
Tove Lo is the 15th most added artist. And she's playing a tent. On Thursday. Oh joy.
I have been wondering wtf they were thinking since the schedule launch putting Tove Lo in a tent. Without a doubt she needs a stage. That tent is going to be insanely full.
I'll enjoy as much as I can being crammed in the Tove Lo tent with the thought "Why the hell is she not on Which?" in my head the whole time.
They really should just open the Which for a "headliner" on Thursday. Alabama Shakes, alt-j, and Cherub would have benefitted from this, and Tove Lo certainly would as well.
