I am interested in the TBD HBO programming. They wouldn't show the GoT finale a day early, would they?
Also, I have no shame in saying watching Salad Days sounds way more appealing than Mumford.
OH HELL YES. I was praying for a dope ass movie to watch during Mumford. I haven't seen this but I love the title and the subject matter.
This is what me and the guy are doing. It is on my schedule, which I have just tweaked for the fifth time now. I am also editing stuff off so we can actually sleep during this madness called Bonnaroo.

safe to say everyone skipping mumford to watch a documentary on punk rock will be awesome people.
I just want to time everything right so I can get in on Saturday just long enough to say "You go Glen Coco!" during Mean Girls. That will hands down make my night.

That's where we're going to be - stoked to finally see this documentary.

You guys are going to be pissed when you get to the cinema tent and see the line is out the door and you have to go sit around and do nothing.
Seriously, sometimes the cinema tent gets packed out and I can imagine a good amount of folks thinking the same way. Might need to sit through some Mean Girls beforehand.
Also, check with the tent staff to see if they clear out between special movie/sets. They don't always clear out but for some big ones last year they would clear out the tent. If you wanted to stay for the next film you could hang out in the lobby (so you're guaranteed a seat).

Yea, I was actually just thinking this after my post above...might not get to hit up the documentary on Saturday cause it will be packed with people that don't like Mumford.
Best believe I'll be first in line for that Cory Feldman Q&A/Goonies screening on Friday morning, tho. I wonder what time Centeroo will open this year? Is it the same time every year?

Just stay in there after Thursday night. Centeroo opens on Thursday and closes on Sunday. You can go as early as you want Friday or just hang out watching movies for 12 hours.

I was going to head over there after Childish Gambino ends at 9:30, which gives me about 20 mins. I think that should be good, right?

Honestly not sure that will be enough. I'm assuming there's a good portion of folks that will want to skip Mumford but also not go back to their campsite. With very little else to do I could see the tent being full of people just recharging their bodies around that time. The cinema tent isn't huge and I highly doubt Mumford has a majority of Roo-goers at their set.
If I were you I'd scope it out a bit earlier...like just walk past or see how crowded the tent/line looks before Gambino. If there is a line already ask people what they are going for/staying for.

Thank you Obi Won Knenobi, I knew you would be my only hope.
Forget the inforoo diet cuz I'll have to TRUFFLE SHUFFLE!!!
Didn't they show Ghostbusters last year? If not, it also would've been perfect. I still miss Harold Ramis, he was my fav person in the comedy industry by far.

Maybe my experience was rare, but I was in the What field when RHCP started in 2012, very quickly gave up on the set and wandered to the cinema tent and walked right in, no line. Pretty sure it was an adult swim thing. Good amount of people in there but definitely not packed out.
I think most people who skip a headliner go back to their camp to prepare for LN.
Also note that VIP gets front of the line access at the cinema tent, and there are a few rows up front reserved for VIP.

Last year they had a Harold Ramis celebration.
Each day/night they'd show a different movie he worked on. Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, and Caddyshack.

Oh I could be totally wrong. It probably depends on what is showing and who is playing the stage. It's certainly possible that there's no line and the documentary can easily be walked into but I was guessing that (like Dave Maynar) there are some who not only don't want to see Mumford but will also be interested in the documentary just on the subject matter alone. I feel like there's probably more overlap of people who'd want to see both RHCP and adult swim stuff while the Mumford fans / Punk documentary fans are more divided but I have no real clue.
With stuff like this, I always go "better safe than sorry". I def recommend stopping by a little while before you plan on heading to get in just to scope out the situation. There definitely could be a lot of folks not attending the documentary but you don't want to find out too late.
