Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I highly doubt Mumford has a majority of Roo-goers at their set.
Listen, I get that there's a sizable amount of Mumford hate on Inforoo but that's a bit over the top. They're among the highest favorited artists in the lineup on the ap which should equate to a sizable crowd. Expecting more than half of attendees to skip their set when the only alternative is a documentary in a small, capacity-limited tent is probably not realistic.

I'm a Mumford fan and am looking forward to their set.
I also realize that they aren't everyone's cup of tea. I worded that weirdly. The point I was trying to make is that I don't think the What field will be crowded from front to back like it was for McCartney. That, similar to other headliners who aren't decades-long legends, there would be a good portion of folks not going to their set.
I started to use numbers like 80%, 75%, etc. but then couldn't land on one so just said "the majority of roo-goers" while typing fast.
I do think their set will be packed. I don't believe "more than half of attendees will skip". I just don't think it would be 70,000 out of 80,000 attendees there. I can easily see a quarter of attendees skipping the set and the movie tent is really not that big. That was my main point. I'm not trying to say the Mumford said will feel empty.
You guys are all crazy. How is the "Enchantment Under The Sea" dance not on the top of everyone's list? I'll be sure to make sure I'm ready just in case Chuck Berry's cousin Marvin gets injured in a freak trunk closing accident.

...but your kids are gonna love it."

Well, from 1pm to 4:20pm I'll be living in the 80's with Cory Feldman. Then seeing Tears for Fears later that night.
It's pretty much gonna be an 80's day for me. LadyGodzilla and myself are thinking about dressing up for the occasion.
I think I'm doing the same. Before this I was gonna leave up to that day to either go in early and watch King Gizzard and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, but now, this and getting out of the sun sounds great. Tears for Fears was my initial kickoff to my night, so yeah, it's an 80's day!

definitely hitting super troopers live reading and birdman with the drum score. Might see Trainwreck but the comedy line-up at that time looks great too. And i'd like to see the Trapped in the Closet sing-a-long but im not sure if staying up that late on my first night is a great idea. but decent chance i say screw it and go because ive wanted to do that for a while
oh, and the NBA Finals if when my rockets make the finals
You guys are going to be pissed when you get to the cinema tent and see the line is out the door and you have to go sit around and do nothing.
Seriously, sometimes the cinema tent gets packed out and I can imagine a good amount of folks thinking the same way. Might need to sit through some Mean Girls beforehand.
Also, check with the tent staff to see if they clear out between special movie/sets. They don't always clear out but for some big ones last year they would clear out the tent. If you wanted to stay for the next film you could hang out in the lobby (so you're guaranteed a seat).
you aren't accounting for the people that will be doing other things at the time though. Exploring, silent disco, the kalliope stage (assuming thats coming back and that it runs during headliners, i watched all the headliners last year so im not sure), eating, and also just going back to the camp site
punk documentary sounds cool but i know me and my groop basically have a party planned back at our camp site during Mumford. We plan to hang and drink and get ready for the night sets (SLAAAAAAAAYER....although some of them are being lame and want to see Tycho)

No, I'm definitely accounting for that, too. Exploring only takes so much time, the Kalliope stage isn't confirmed to run during headliners, and yea there will be some people eating and going back to camp.
There's going to be plenty of people that don't want to walk the 35-45 minutes back to their camp site (the campgrounds are humongous) and may want to relax in the movie tent. I still think the movie tent will be pretty crowded if the movie is any good or has some buzz (I don't know anything about it). I can't find/remember what the last confirmed number was for capacity but it's not huge.

Back To The Future is possibly my favorite movie of all time. Pretty upset that the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance and Mac Demarco are at the same time.
This could be a dumb question but can you drink in the cinema tent?
I believe you can. They sell water/snacks in there. Not totally sure.
fun fact: the cinema tent is the only place you can buy booze after ~2:00am. learned that last year when searching for booze after die antwoord while hanging at the silent disco. pretty sure they only had miller lite, but it was better than nothing.
