In my 4 previous years I have yet to set foot in the fountain.... maybe Thursday this year. Maybe
I've never braved the fountain either. Mostly because I don't like to walk around soaking wet. Wet feet are especially bad and I wear tennis shoes all weekend. Not to mention, I'm very lacking in the thigh gap department, so the fountain would only lead to "chub rub," as I like to call it, and I'll pass on that.
Needless to say, my biggest fear is having to endure an all-out downpour at Roo.
I would love to be inside the head of people like that. What in their minds gives them the right to plow to the front? Be a normal human and wait if it's that important to you.
More people need to start publicly berating/shaming people like that. Maybe we can get a few of them to stop.
What do I do if I want to be rail for a show? I get there early like a civilized person.

I was hoping that Roo would be a kinder environment! We went to this year's Beale Street Music Fest, and the rudeness was appalling. They were almost trampling people on blankets during Hozier, and thought nothing of shoving right through my husband and I even when we were standing side by side holding hands. I was amazed at his patience because I know he was furious!

Generally speaking they are few and far between at Roo. There are always a few, often in "enhanced" states, that feel that it is there right to be wherever they want to be but for the most part the crowd is respectful.

I swear that I am always the aisle for these groups! No matter where I stand I am constantly the walkway! Even when I try to stand my ground and not move I end up getting pushed out of the way pretty much! Grr...makes the blood boil just thinking about it!

Me too, I guess it's because I'm short and from the back of the crowd it looks like there's space where I'm at.
Truthfully, you'll go and forget it's your first year. You're welcomed by people you don't even know as if they have known you for years. It's amazing. Yelling "BONNAARROOOOOOOOOOO" will cause everyone in ear shot to yell it back, creating a domino effect. Just be ready. It's amazing.
