I just got off of chat with them. They said it would be delivered today, I had Kyle check the mail and nothing (mail, no package). I now have to request an advanced refund and reorder if I want it. When it said it was delivered Friday, and it wasn't I checked everywhere and even talked to my bat-shit crazy, addict neighbors. Nothing. Yesterday, I talked to the mailman and he remembers delivering a package on Tuesday (my razors) but nothing on Friday. I gave him the tracking number and he was going to look into it, but I got nothing back from him. I was told I had to wait until the end of the day today. So tomorrow I will be requesting my refund. I am so frustrated. I wanted this for Bonnaroo and now I am going without.
Is it too late for them to make it right with overnight shipping?
No. I have to wait, and since it is through one of the Amazon Sellers and not directly from Amazon, they can't just send out a replacement. I have to request a refund and then reorder it. My guy said he will go pick me one up when he gets home tomorrow and while I am at work. I am hoping that happens, because I have never made it through a festival without my phone conking out on me. I was very excited, phone and camera would be all chargy charged.

Could you not order one right now with overnight shipping (direct from Amazon), and then just process the return for the other one later? Don't wait for the same seller to send another one.
I've never looked at the Ankers in a store, but I wouldn't be surprised if you end up paying double for a similar sized charger at the store.

All the ones that were suggested have all been through the AnkersDirect which is the seller I bought from on Amazon originally. I guess it does help my case, that I am reordering the same exact one though. IDK, it has really stressed me out all weekend long.
EDIT: So the one that is 16000 and $10 more is $3.99 to over night and the one that I originally ordered is $7.99 to overnight. WTF?

Order one, and overnight it. Then worry about processing the refund on the original when you get back. The AnkerDirect should ship with Prime, as it's a "fulfilled by Amazon" thing.
Regarding the overnight, might have to do with what they have in stock by the fulfillment center closest to you. They can overnight some stuff with USPS, and that's probably the $3.99. Probably have to use UPS for the other one since it's further away, thus the increase. At least that's my best guess.

That actually makes sense. I guess I am going to go with the more expensive one, because the shipping is less and with the overnight fee on the original it bumps the price up to about the same of the 16000 one. I have never had something not make it to me before and say that it was delivered. This is way too stressful for me.
So I reordered the exact same one, because now it is saying it had the $3.99 overnight fee. I also had it shipped to my work instead of my house. Fingers crossed it gets delivered tomorrow.

It should come about 75% charged so make sure you top it off before you hit the road.

Replacement Anker got delivered to my work, and is currently charging. I am a super happy girl. Now to just get this stupid book to print so I can start my roo vaca.
Rothric thank you for letting me vent and helping to clear my head on what I should do when the first one didn't get delivered.
Just a reminder to everyone that picked up a new charger (MonieVieuxJazDr. Joe I forget who else), to put your battery pack in a "storage charge" if you won't be using it anytime soon.
When Li-ion batteries aren't going to be used for a while, it's best to put store them at a 40-50% capacity charge. If you store them at 100% capacity, you are decreasing the amount of power the battery pack can hold in the future.
If anyone else is curious about the nuts and bolts of battery chemistry check out this site, Battery University.
And if anyone really wants to get the most out any Li-ion battery (just about every battery is Li-ion these days), here are a few helpful tips to prolong battery life (number of cycles, not runtime):
-Don't charge to 100% capacity. If you charge to 80% capacity, you will get many more discharge cycles out of the battery. -Don't fully discharge your battery to 0%, this also hurts the number of cycles

Hmm good to know. Though really I've been using the charger damn near every day, and my usage puts me right in between those guidelines. I charge it during the day, which isn't enough to get it up to 100%, and then use it to charge my phone and vape when I get home from work since it's portable and charges things so fast. I never thought I would use it this much, but I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Nice! That should keep you in a good rhythm then, and help prolong the life of the battery pack.
It is nice that the new generation of Ankers (the one's we all bought this year) can detect the amperage required by the device and output up to 3A. This means it can even charge something like an iPad quickly.

Good info! I'm not well educated in the chemistry behind this, but I have read this same thing before. Lead-acid batteries (cars, all sorts of other vehicles, and backup power supplies, including solar systems) should be stored topped off, while you can more or less do whatever you want with NiMH batteries (like rechargeable AA and AAA, most commonly) including leaving them completely discharged when not in use.
Li-ion batteries are great due to their power density and ability to withstand a lot of charge cycles, and in a phone or something used and recharged all the time they don't take much thought. But if you use an Anker or other portable charger infrequently it will definitely last longer and perform better if you follow the steps above. And if you get one with a large capacity and only keep it around for emergencies or power outages the remaining 40% or so will be way more than you are likely to need in a pinch. If you plan on taking it to a festival or on a camping trip or something then just top it off or go to 80% before you leave. It should last you a long time without losing much capacity this way.
Yeah, I'm kind of a nerd. Not a geek who has highly marketable skills and technical knowledge unfortunately, but I'm happy.

I personally haven't been using it, but my kid, Kyle has been on the regular, which is one of the reasons I haven't been using it. He has taken it camping twice and he took it with him to the Boston engineering program that he is at this week. Same with my camelback. I swear, you can't buy anything for yourself if you have a teenager.
