Since we're a virtual lock to get a healthy dose of Americana, both on the BGS stage and beyond, here are what I see as some possibilities for that: Chris Stapleton (I'd almost be willing to bet on this one, as he looks to be next year's Jason Isbell/Sturgill Simpson riser) Jason Isbell Honeyhoney Richard Thompson (Been wanting this forever. Hoping the new Tweedy-produced album finally makes it happen) JD McPherson Langhorne Slim & the Law Hard Working Americans Watkins Family Hour American Aquarium
I don't know anything about them. I'm just going cause it's free and Schoolboy Q. My buddy who is an EDM nut is pumped to see them.
They're pretty awful. They got big from that terrible song "Selfie", and have been riding its success into the ground. They were moderately decent before releasing that song, but now they put out generic pop EDM.

Their original tracks are pretty awful. However, they have some really solid remixes. I like this one a lot:
Can't speak to their live show; half my crew at Firefly wanted to stay through to their show on Sunday night after the Killers finished, but I was one of the drivers to get home and I could not stand another moment without falling down from exhaustion, so I successfully convinced them out of it haha.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

They were honestly pretty good at Firefly this year. They have a new visual setup which is pretty cool, and in terms of turn up EDM, they're on the upper half skillwise.

I went and saw Bleachers last night (left before Charlie XCX headlined) but BORNS opened for them and I can 100% see them on the undercard next year. They only have an EP out but played 2 new songs they are writing for an album and they covered "Benny and the Jets". Their music is very much up the ally of what we usually see.

I actually just heard this song about a week ago... Week ago! Anyway I thought they sounded like a good Thursday evening act

I can already see the Roo Clue now...child being birthed in an ER.........or just a D.O.B. on a Drivers License, either or.
i hate almost every song they have on iTunes, did not want to go to them at firefly, but i figured why not because it was sunday and last set of the weekend, but god damn they seriously killed it.
One of my biggest wants for next year. FIDLAR at Bonnaroo would insane
Yes, let's start petitioning tomorrow and it'd be awesome if they gave them a second (extra) set after sunset at one of the tiny stages around centeroo or out in the Grindhouse (or whatever it was called)

I saw them at a small venue and they totally worked the crowd. Its the way they write the music that does it. There are many ups and downs to get the crowd worked up then gives them a break. I was also really surprised of the musicianship of the band which isnt always to be expected from a punk band. The lead guitarist has some serious chops. They are by far the funnest band I've ever seen taking that title for me from Diarrhea Planet
I went to Fallfest last night. I missed the Chainsmokers and Eli Young Band. Schoolboy Q put on a party of a show though. I'd like him on the undercard.

Maybe you're being vague on purpose, but pretty much every big public university in the US has some sort of "Fall Fest", "Spring Fest", "Welcome Weekend Concert", etc.
How's Q looking? I heard he's losing weight, eating healthier, easing out of drugs, etc.

WVU and he looked great. Organizers set specific rules for the show and that sucked. But he was full of energy. Partied down despite it being hot as fuck.

What kind of rules? And that's good to hear, he went pretty hard when I saw him too but you could tell he was pretty gassed towards the end of his set
