Woops, you're right. In past years, they've fallen on the same weekend. Still hoping for New Order.
New Order would be a solid booking and somewhat make up for missing out on The Cure again.
New Order would be one of those see no matter who they conflict with acts.
However, beyond the inherent unlikeliness of Roo booking New Order, the Sonar dates make them significantly less likely, as it indicates they'll be playing European fests where they'll get better placement, bigger crowds, and more money.
Weird how they are playing that Day For Night fest in Houston later this month but no other US dates booked. I would think they would have sprinkled a few shows around that time.

Man I really want to get into New Order but just never find the time. From what I've heard, I think they have the potential to rock live (once again I know nothing about them so wouldn't know if their live shows are amazing or not) Can some of you guys point me in the right direction with their discography?

"Power, Corruption, and Lies" should be your first album

"Substance" is what I always recommend. It's not an album but a collection of singles, and they are all fantastic. Still my most listened to New Order record.
What you have to know about New Order before getting into them is they are really really really really good song writers.

I usually listen for lyrics first anyways and then go back and appreciate the music of what I'm hearing. The order is backwards to a lot of people but I appreciate good song writing so it stick out to me. I talk about Death Cab songs with my friends a lot even though I generally am not that crazy about that band. It's just because of what a poet Ben Gibbard is. A lot of people think they're my favorite band. So good to know about New Order.

I think the 3 or 4 songs I've heard are from that record? I liked what I heard. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out.
I was shocked to see Grouplove on the Firefly lineup. I thought for sure with the new baby and no words on a new album or any material at all that they would just take another summer off. So far Firefly is the only show they have on the books. They played 2012 and 2014 in similar time slots so I don't know if bonnaroo wants to bring them back for the third time in six years but if they come back I'm pretty confident they'd be at least be which stage material this time. They're a pretty good ways up on the FF lineup.
Has a very 90s dance music kinda vibe. Need more time to digest.
Don't know if you're aware or not but she released an EP with La Bagatelle Magique back in August. I enjoyed it a lot; like you said the 90s dance music influence is pretty clear.

She cancelled her 2015 fall tour dates because her collaborator she worked with on this mini-EP passed away after a battle with cancer and she didn't feel right doing the music live without him. However, she has a new EP coming in the spring, I'd say odds are pretty good she'll be at the bigger fests this year (Roo, Coach, Lolla).
Anyone know anything about Bombay Bicycle Club touring next summer? Roo missed them last cycle and I'd love to finally see them live. I think it's about time they played.
Santigold Wolfmother Band of Horses GZA M83 Major Lazer Wiz Khalifa The XX
I was thinking "ugh Wiz Khalifa, he was just there," but compared to Future, Fetty Wap, J Cole, Earl, and some of the other hip-hop acts people are suggesting I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat. His band sounded great when I walked by in 2014.

woahhhhhh, how diid Earl get lumped with the rest of those guys?! I'm not even a fan of J. Cole and I still think he's worlds better than Future and Fetty. Also, Wiz is terrible and so are the pot leaf symbol wearing white kids that he attracts.
