Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I mean, Bonnaroo's hip hop bookings of late have been about on par with their electronic acts, so having crap like this on the lineup makes perfect sense.
Gov Ball did get him last year too. This and Future being likely makes me nervous.
It'd be great to see her on the farm again. She killed it in 2014.
I love her. She broke a fiddle string at ACL 2013 and said, "Welcome to mother fucking folk."
Fuck. She's so badass. She rocked my buddy's mind that year when she ripped it on the slide guitar. He loves lady rock stars, so that took him over the aural edge. That's a great post-fiddle break quote.

I fangirled her when she played at One Eyed Jacks the first time I ever saw her. I will totally be fangirling her again at the April 21st show there again. Vinyl with signature to add to my collection.
When's the next Roo clue? I'm get damn shaky for my fix. I need undercard news to take the edge off the inevitable headliner letdown.
Maybe tomorrow? Who knows how they are doing them this year. I just hope they do 2 a week and announce right after the last clue. The headliner thread is depressing today.

Well they *might* have one headliner that everybody either dislikes or is completely apathetic about, who will unquestionably have a set that conflicts with something else. So much to be depressed about!
I was just talking about the depressing conversation about J. Cole going on in there right now and who is better. Not the headliner discussion that hasn't happened pretty much all day. (depressing)
EDIT: Unless you are hinting there is a chance for J. Cole but there will be conflict that I will be able to see... then not so depressing news!

The Nashville show four weeks after Roo
The Radius Clause extends way past four weeks, and I imagine it would apply to a legacy act like Duran Duran or Chic. Even so, I doubt an amphitheater in Nashville would book them if they were going to be at Roo a month earlier. So, yeah unfortunately I think they should be ruled out.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

That amphitheater in Nashville is owned by Live Nation. As is Bonnaroo. And most people in Nashville wouldn't be caught dead at Bonnaroo. So I would say Duran Duran are still in the running.

I am not well-versed in the peoples of Nashville so I'll take your word for it. DD & Chic certainly seem like the perfect legacy bands for Roo to book.
Ummm you might not have said it, but didn't you hint at it? If not, sorry.
I said they were playing Coachella a few months ago.
UUUGGHHH!! I can't keep up anymore! I thought LCD was the one you were going to drop the day before Coachelle to ruin Coachella's fire or some bullshit.
I am sorry, these are not the droid you are looking for. Move along now please.

I am. They love their music, but they refuse to go to a festival 50 miles away because they would have to camp out and it's HOT!
And true, they could drive back and forth, but it's still HOT!
Bone Thugs & Harmony would be fun! Which or LN Tent?
I am not sure how this translates to Bonnaroo, but they played the main stage at dusk (5-6) for BUKU in 2014. They were before NAS, ZEDD and Ellie Goulding. Oh and it was awesome.

well hearing good views so far makes me happy, hope to see them one year on the farm.

Does Live Nation operate like AEG does with Coachella? i.e. You can play within the radius as long as it's at a venue they own?

The Nashville show four weeks after Roo almost assuredly rules both of these acts out so there's zero reason to post these dates yet again
People started putting them in mocks and other people who are believed to have some knowledge of the headliners have paid slightly more attention to those mocks than others. This is the same reason Dead & Co. are suspected, but unlike LCD, they have the added benefit of being active and the whole deal with Bonnaroo's attempts to book the core four last year.
Yes, but not because of some radius clause which nobody who posts here actually understands. I think it rules them out simply because it's stupid to think that they're going to route their tour in such a way where they'd somehow be in the Nashville area twice within a month. More likely that they either take a break after they wrap in April, or go play some Euro dates or something.
As much as I'd love to believe otherwise, I've accepted that they're not playing. Chic would be pretty high on the bill (easily top 15-20), and they seem to be much more interested in playing European festivals than North American festivals.
I've been hoping for at least one of these four, and it seems like we're probably going to get none: Duran Duran Chic New Order Jeff Lynne's ELO
America has to learn how to do festivals as good as Europe
I get what you're saying, but Jeff Lynne shouldn't be grouped in with these others. How many times has ELO played any festival anywhere in the last 30 years? Mayyyybe he winds up doing Glasto this year, but it's not like the guy is out touring regularly.
