Just some random guesses: Of Monsters and Men Edward Sharpe Chvrches Logic Raury...again Tame Impala Some shizzzzy rap artists like Fetty but hopefully not him
I would lose my mind over DMX or Q-tip/Tribe Called Quest reunion as the vintage hip hop act. Regardless of whether or not Will and Jazzy will be there.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
A couple of these on the lineup and I would be happy...
Battles Boards of Canada Darkside Four Tet Jeff Beck M83 Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers Nicolas Jaar The Orb Passion Pit Polica Puscifer Ratatat Rodrigo y Gabriela Sigur Ros Tinariwen
Bolded ones that I too would love to see and figure there's a chance we could get, italicized the ones that almost certainly will NOT be happening (either by way of already announced tour dates or, in the case of Darkside, because they arent currently booking shows at all).
You're more likely to get darkside than boards of Canada.
Dream Theater has a new album coming out and is touring Europe Feb - March. I imagine they'll tour the US at some point to support their album, maybe a summer tour. They've never played Roo and would be a pretty interesting booking. Saw them years ago and they were impressive, no idea how their live show is now.
Pearl Jam ~ Justin Timberlake/DeadCo ~ LCD Soundsystem ~ Macklemore ~ Jack U ~ Tame Impala ~ Death Cab ~ M83 ~ Hall and Oates ~ Snoop ~ Chance ~ Ween ~ Ellie Goulding~ Father John ~ Lucius ~ Wavves ~ Haim ~ Fetty Wap ~ Justice ~ Wolf Alice ~ Sphongle ~The Neighborhood ~ Leon Bridges ~ Jason Isbell ~ Portugal the Man ~ Nathaniel Rateliff ~ Griz ~ Blood Orange ~ 1975 ~ Andrew Bird ~ Above & Beyond ~ MuteMath ~ Tool ~ Umphrey's McGee ~ Half Moon Run ~ Bully ~ Magic Man ~ Alison Wonderland~ Miike Snow ~ Panic at the Disco~ Two Door Cinema Club~ St. Lucia ~ Civil Twilight ~ Judah and the Lion ~ Wet ~ Diiv
Too modern indie heavy and probably financially impossible but I think this is close to a lot we will get

Isn't Darkside on some sort of hiatus?
Yeah. But boards of canada hasn't played live in like 15 years. And even then it was mostly Warp records parties. Even though they still make albums, they don't have any interest in playing shows, especially bonnaroo.

I thought they were pretty awesome on the Which in 2012. One of my favorite sets of that weekend. But I'm pretty sure some of the members of The Shins are in both Modest Mouse and The Arcs. If both those bands are still touring, I don't think The Shins are too likely. Then again, Mercer is really the band. Just grab a couple of other randos.
As evidenced by the fact that he fired the old band and got new members for the recording and touring for Port of Morrow. And I'm pretty sure there have been lineup fluctuations since then too. I don't know if they'd win in a conflict for me at Roo, but they were good when I saw them at Boston Calling

I bet whoever is the touring member of Broken Bells on keys has probably been replaced. During the Roo set in 2014 I heard him play a wrong note and Mercer quickly turned around just glared at him for a moment immediately after it happened. Its pretty obvious he is a perfectionist
I think you like Silversun Pickups almost as much as you dislike Pearl Jam. It is a close call tho
According to spotify, it is TV on the Radio. But yes, they are one of my favorites and nobody gives them love here so I have to keep reminding.
Just found out I have to work a private Silversun Pickups show in January. I figured you'd be the proper authority to point me in the direction of their best album.
M83 06-16-19 Dover, Delaware - Firefly Festival 07-07-08 Bilbao, Spain - Bilbao BBK Live 07-09 Lisbon, Portugal - NOS Alive 08-10-17 Budapest, Hungary - Sziget Fest 08-12-14 Helsinki, Finland - Flow Festival Helsinki 08-11-13 Gothenburg, Sweden - Way Out West Fest
Anyone aware of other dates for them, yet? Hoping this isn't their only itinerary. Just something as a place holder until they're able to spill on playing other festivals...namely Bonnaroo
