I'm on mobile but there's a screenshot from the Bonnarooster of an Email to his manager where he says they're not playing bonnaroo but have plans to play Tennessee, hoping they're just saying that cuz they don't wanna leak it
According to spotify, it is TV on the Radio. But yes, they are one of my favorites and nobody gives them love here so I have to keep reminding.
Just found out I have to work a private Silversun Pickups show in January. I figured you'd be the proper authority to point me in the direction of their best album.
Are you fucking serious? I'm so jealous. Ok. So, I don't feel that there is any going wrong with SSPU, but "...all the go inbetweens" was the first song I ever heard by them. My ex was trying to get me to listen and I wasn't interested, but when I heard that song, that was it. So I'd actually start in order with the Pikul EP. You can hear they're evolution throughout all the albums. Make sure you listen to the Seasick EP in between Swoon and Neck of the Woods. If you are only about listening to individual songs, my favorites are: ...All the Go Inbetweens Royal We Catch and Release Three Seeds Future Foe Scenario Dots and Dashes Kissing Families Circadian Rhythem Dream at tempo 119
I hope that helps. I'm so envious of you. I just want to hug Nikki and make Brian sing to me. Probably good thing I haven't had a chance to meet them. My fangirl level would make me an even bigger idiot than I already am.

If Holly has taught as us anything, it is that emails should be trusted w absolute authority.
No but in all honesty, I doubt the manager is lying about it. If he didn't want to "spill the beans," he'd likely just not reply.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
As evidenced by the fact that he fired the old band and got new members for the recording and touring for Port of Morrow. And I'm pretty sure there have been lineup fluctuations since then too. I don't know if they'd win in a conflict for me at Roo, but they were good when I saw them at Boston Calling
I bet whoever is the touring member of Broken Bells on keys has probably been replaced. During the Roo set in 2014 I heard him play a wrong note and Mercer quickly turned around just glared at him for a moment immediately after it happened. Its pretty obvious he is a perfectionist
The Shins is James Mercer haha, no album has had the same lineup of musicians.

So I met Cage the Elephant last night and asked about festivals, mentioned Bonnaroo, and Matt smiled and said they'd be playing a FEW fests, not a lot like this year, but said that he loved Bonnaroo, so idk. I'd just love to see them back at the Farm.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver

They put on a good show but having seen their 2014 set, I don't really need them back so soon, and taking up a higher spot on the lineup, on what I feel will be a kind of disappointing album (I haven't checked it out yet, just know the first two singles). I'd actually rather them be at one of the smaller fests I'ms going to like Boston Calling or Gov Ball, but we'll see.

Sucks you feel that way, I loved that set, and have thus seen them two other times, and have had a great time each time. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I really like the new singles, I have a soft spot in my heart for Cage the Elephant lol but yeah. I just wouldn't be surprised to see them on the lineup after that

I really enjoyed that set too, but I'd rather an act I haven't seen get that spot on the lineup. Like I said, I'd love to see them at a different fest, though they do seem to really like Roo so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they end up here. The singles are just too Dan Auerbach-affected to me. By that I mean they sound like the Black Keys after the Black Keys stopped being good.

I just realized The Tallest Man on Earth is playing Nelsonville Music Festival in Ohio the weekend before Bonnaroo. Roo usually has a little crossover with them, hoping he makes his way down to the farm.

I missed them in '14 so I'd love another shot this year. I'm hoping you're right. They put on great, high-energy shows.

I know Explosions in the Sky has been mentioned in this thread before, but how likely do you think they are at this point? They headline Moogfest in North Carolina on May 21, then have nothing until the Netherlands on June 17. Based on that gap/the NC date I think you could consider EITS a distinct possibility for Roo.

That June 17 date is worrisome. If they announce more U.S. dates after Moog (especially Gov Ball), I'd say there's a chance. I hope we at least get them since Sigur Ros fell through.
Do any of you like Kamasi Washington? He was the only person I liked on that Okeechobee lineup, so I hope he makes it too roo! (His band would make for a GREAT late night Thursday) What are the chances of him being on next years lineup ya thinks?

He's playing two nights here in April. I was contemplating checking him out.

DEFINITELY do it. I only know his recorded stuff and I love it. But some of my friends have seen him and they said it was great.

Do it! If you haven't already, check out his album "The Epic." It's like a jazz album for people who don't like jazz...if that makes sense? Here's a song/live performance you might dig!

i'd say likely honestly. he's playing big ears in late march/early april which is an ac entertainment festival.
