Nobody on this board loves New Order more than I do, but in my opinion they are a tent act. Any music nerd worth her or his salt knows New Order, but amongst the common peoples they don't have the name recognition of say, Tears For Fears, and Tears For Fears was in a tent.
but yeah I've never seen them, and have dreamed of seeing them at Roo. I won't get my hopes up though.
That's what I meant by Tears for Fears "opening the door for them", since Tears for Fears is more popular. Maybe (probably not) Roo will branch out from there.
I have imagined the robotic voice of "58666666..." on the farm as well :-)
New Order closing a tent just, like Tears for Fears did, would be amazing. The only difference is that the crowd wouldn't be nearly as big, so it'd be easier to get a good spot for it
I was at the best one of course! His Sunday show at 8 o clock.
Cool, I had a friend at that one. He said it was really good. I was able to do both shows on Saturday. Absolutely amazing. I don't think there is such a thing as a bad Prince show.

Definitely. I noticed he played a way better set list of songs though on the first Sunday show opposed to the first Saturday show. The later show on Saturday and the earlier show on Sunday looked to be the two best.

I agree. More songs and deeper tracks for both those shows. 8pm Sunday setlist may be the best of that weekend. Ok, I'm done hijacking this thread.

I looked on Setlist.fm and they looked recently active. But no, I don't think they will happen.
Ok, I didn't even know they've been active recently. And yeah, there's almost 0% chance they play Roo, there's only like 10% chance they ever play Coachella
They just played Coachella in 2013! What a sick lineup all around.

God damn you Stupid Sexy Flanders... I've always been livid I didn't get to see Stone Roses and Blur but I've lived with it. I didn't realize I missed them AND Echo... At least Roo's lineup was really stacked that year as well so I'm still glad I made that. I never pay too much attention to Coachella lineups because that trip would cost me so much and I am now paying the price two years later

I second your enthusiasm for Coachella's 2013 lineup, and personally think it's the best and deepest fest lineup I've seen in the last 5 years at least, but Echo & the Bunnymen weren't there. They did play Coachella in 2010, though.
Ok ok, I can't take this roller coaster of emotion. I was wondering how I had never realized Echo was on that lineup. I too agree in the awesomeness of Coachella 2013's lineup. 2013 and 2007 are two of my favorite lineups ever
Guys... If roo (or any fest for that matter) books Anklepants (and preferably gives him a LN) I'll buy a ticket no matter who else is on the lineup.
Yes... He has what I refer to as a "dancing dilnose" and that's just part of his charm. I do really love how he ridicules the people who stayed outside or came in and didn't dance because I've always hated that people at Boiler Room shows aren't dancing.

Ah shiz, thought Fore was talking about New Order.

Hopefulls Queens of the Stone Age Yeah Yeah Yeahs A$AP Rocky Ghostface Killer and BBNG Hall and Oates B-52's Tame Impala
Those are some of my most realistic
I never realized how highly desired of an act Queens of the Stoneage is until I saw people around here making wish lists for Roo. Glad I got to see them at Hangout
