Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Have the lineup from 01-04, make it 21 and up, build a dome around the farm and make it air conditoned. Even then I still might not go.
First, there was no lineup in 2001, because the fest didn't exist. Second, the lineups in 2002 and 2003 were the same mishmash of half-crappy jambandz. Third, you're like 19 years old so you didn't even experience any of this and have zero way of knowing if it was actually any good or not (hint: I was there, and the fest was way better 10 years later).
This is just a long winded way of asking you to please shut up forever.
Obviously you must've left your "vibez" at Bonnaroo 2001.
LESS BASS. Thats all you could hear sometimes. Makes it hard to hear shows unless you are up front.
Both superjam had issues with bass from nearby bleeding over. Throwback was from the kalliope stage and the bluegrass one was commented on by the punch brothers
Burn the Kalliope stage to the ground. I would supply the gasoline and match.
It was annoying last year when I was trying to sleep and Skrilly went till 7am with his drops. Felt like it was my neighbor blasting music with their stereo.
1. Drop the new empty Camelbak policy, maybe by just requiring them to be open for a sniff test. Time suck=harder to stay hydrated. 2. Keep the port-o-potties in the pods as clean and stocked as they were in 2014.
Other than that, I have no suggestions. Roo is always great, and this year was no exception. Music was phenomenal, and I loved the Grove and the screens at the tents.
For those of us who weren't on the farm this year... what was the deal with the "flushing toilets"? Where were they?
How did the new screens work out?
We had some near groop and there was at least one batch of them in Centeroo in the back by tents. I believe there were more at other camping pods. Basically just nicer bathrooms if u didn't want the portajohns. No sinks but clean, flushable toilets with attendants checking up on it occasionally.
Screens were a big help for me at some shows. They had one big one on a side similar to which stage but for a number of sets I couldn't or didn't want to get close it was a big improvement. They didn't always show the first sets of the day....waited until it wasnt so bright out
This is brought up every year, and I usually side with folks who say its not necessary, but they should really consider putting acts on the Which stage on Thursday night. It seems like its at the point where 90% of attendees are on the farm by Thursday night. Maybe its because I missed a year last year, but it seemed more crowded to me than any of the previous Thursdays I've attended.
In all honesty I felt things went really smoothly this year, at least for us. My bag was hardly searched and the longest I waited to get in to centeroo was about 5 minutes. I will always encourage more shade structures though. And maybe more safety folks roaming around; I didn't see many of them all weekend but saw several people in need of medical help.

They were like airplane toilets and AMAZING. I pretty much used them exclusively in Centeroo all weekend. The attendants cleaned them every 20-30 minutes and they always had toiilet paper. There was rarely a line because we could get in and out really quickly beause there was no fumbling around with wipes and tp and gross seats. The ones in centeroo were for females only so that also helped.
Fucking Which stage. They know that the sound/bleed from other stages is a problem. Why haven't they fixed it? Or at least not have stupid scheduling like some loud ass bass in This tent during Robert Plant. That was the only negative thing the whole weekend. It really pissed me off though. We moved around, couldn't get away from the fucking bass and finally I just left.
It was my first Bonnaroo, but I wish there was some kind of rule about the totems. Like they either have to be no more than a certain size wide, or at least a certain amount tall. The ones on huge poles weren't a problem, but some people brought huge wide ones and held them right over their heads so that no one behind them can see. The freaking inflatable batman at Bleachers was dead center and even though I was only about 15 people back from the stage I couldn't see crap.
Give us some water refill stations that doesn't taste like eggs and sulfur.
And because it was nasty, people were dumping their bottles out right after filling them, creating more problems. A swamp formed on the path between the Which and What stage as a result.

tThere is such a rule. But people break rules. People are assholes.

you must be new. That was no swamp compared to what it use to be.
There should be an 18+ rule.... there were way too many people under 18 this year.
Now I usually wouldn't judge, but we'd trike up conversation [without knowing their age at first] and they'd be complaining about how beers were $7 in centeroo and how it was so easy to sneak on a wristband...
we'd be confused then realize what they said - the average age after we asked them was 16....

If they're going to have late starts at the What Stage again next year, they should still open the What Field at its earlier time. I felt like it backed things up a lot more as it gave more time for people to line up/trample one another once the gates open. Plus, better to go ahead and sort out the pit lines and (where applicable) get at least some of the people against that wall for some shade.

And it's just brutal heat and sun for daytime shows.
Thank goodness we have finally gender divided the port-a-potties. 1st time in 4 years I have been able to sit while I pee and it was glorious! Small Victories people :-)
