Every time I asked a volunteer a question I was never able to get any kind of answer. This happened probably once a day for me at the festival. It all was highlighted as I was driving out on sunday night. There was not really anybody leaving at the time so there was no line going through the exit. I get to an intersection where you could drive straight or turn left. There were two people directing traffic. I yelled simply "exit?" and pointed left at the first kid directing traffic. He just gives me a dead stare and looked really high. The next person down was this surly old lady that just was yelling at me that I was blocking traffic when I was just trying to figure out which way to go when there were no signs and the attendants were doing nothing.
Educating volunteers that have some sort of motivation would go a long way
Also shade in the comedy area would be great. The ticket system worked well for those who waited for them in the morning. Extend the maze for the waiting area and put up some shade canopies. Similar kind of thing would be nice for pit lines too
And the sound bleed from stages needs to be better. I was just trying to hang out in the back for FlyLo and the noise from Kalliope was pretty offensive
all of the people directing traffic out of pod 6/day parking were stoned as shiz. no idea what was going on, playing with their flags flapping them in the wind. it was pretty bad.

They should have more golf cart taxis or shuttles from the campgrounds. I got stuck in Pod 10 this year and would have paid for a shuttle every single time but only found one that was available all weekend.
This was my fourth straight year and had a blast - it was the first time I did the comedy tent, though (watched two shows). I offer a friendly suggestion to put up more/better signs. People need to know where to go to scan to get admission and also where to go to stand to get into line for the actual show. There was literally no sign at all for the vip side entrance (that I saw). 99% of the people I talked to over the weekend didn't know the protocol to get comedy or cinema tent tickets. The one sign in front of the comedy tent maybe needs an upgrade and to be larger... and more signs added. There also needs to be a sign saying tickets admissions start at 11:30 AM for all shows that day. Although, the girl doing ours on Saturday was 15-20 minutes late with an enormous line backed up waiting.
VIP people also need to know they need to stand in line with general for getting their wristbands scanned but have a side entrance for lining up. Those poor workers were answering the same questions a kazillion times, which was unnecessary and could easily be fixed with good signs.
I am more of a music fan so this was a rare time I did comedy (mainly for Ross and Hardwick), but those two tents could use a good organizer. Other than that I have no complaints - had a great time!
I never once got foul tasting water from the water stations. And I did drink water, contrary to popular belief.
We have screens now. Use them.
Shade was greatly needed this year, and I would love to see more shade set up. They have been planting trees over the years, which is great, and they do need time to grow. Speaking of which, Whoreshack's tree was the biggest and best of them all, as it should be.
Vendors need to bring more chips, because every place I went to Sunday ran out of chips for nachos. And that's what I wanted to eat. #firstworldproblems
Bonnaroo, if you are going to do something awesome, like air the Game of Thrones finale, please give attendees and workers instructions on how to get to said showing. That was a clusterfuck Sunday night.
And add me to the list that will gladly help burn down the Kalliope Stage. Thank God for ear plugs, a generator, and Ambien to drown out the noise as I was trying to go to sleep.
Every time I asked a volunteer a question I was never able to get any kind of answer.
This was the case for me as well. As I entered the tollbooths and they handed me the booklet I asked, "Is this the correct schedule." They said yes. So I looked and saw slayer was not in the right place and told them that it wasn't.
Got to pod 3 and needed to meet with my croo at pod 1. "What direction is pod 1 from here?" Guy has no idea.
Next day they ask if I wasn't an adult drinking wristband (I was in a hurry to a show). I quickly asked if it was a daily wristband or one for the whole fest and he just had no clue.
My questions were dumb for the most part, but you'd think they'd be able to at least answer the dumb ones.

Make better accommodations for sporting events like the NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, etc. There were TONS of Cavs fans that were unable to get into the Cinema Tent. Realize we're here to enjoy the music, but sometimes games like these are too important to miss.

I never even put two and two together on this! They told everyone that they were screening it on Sunday in The Other Tent after Billy Joel, right? And then they closed off access to Centeroo after Billy Joel, at least from What! That's such a Bonnaroo thing to do!
Less EDM. I enjoy some EDM, but there was too much (although gramatik was great, while Dead Mau five pressed play and literally sat down and drank a beer). Spread it out a little more at least. If we can't burn the Kalliope, can we put a giant tent (similar to the comedy tent, but without seats) to help buffer the noise for those who want to try and sleep during the hours of 3-5AM. I heard bass 3 out of 4 nights until at least 5AM and was woken up multiple times by STS9, including their Lion King sunrise thing.

1.) As always, get the security at the gate to have a clear message. The scattered enforcement of the water in Camelbaks is the best example off the top of my head. It's a dumb idea to begin with, but if you're going to do it, make it a clear and consistent rule. 2.) More flushable toilets. In addition to the added cleanliness factor, the ones at Pod 7 and near This Tent had large banks of urinals on the guys side that made lines for peeing nonexistent for there all weekend from my experience. 3.) The Grove was nicely executed for what it was, but I never really saw any indication of what was going on there or when. I went by one night and one of the art cars was there playing music. I went by another and it seemed completely shut down despite it being around midnight. 4.) In a similar vein, better communication of set time changes versus the printed schedule. As someone noted elsewhere, using the screens to broadcast set times seems like one easy way to do it. The app and social media aren't going to reach a large portion of your audience because people don't all have the forethought (or desire) to keep their phone charged all weekend or the internet capability to get app updates while they are there. I had mobile data off most of the weekend because I was unable to access anything with it on whenever I tried. 5.) Sound bleed and sound levels at some of the tents still suck. Tears For Fears and Slayer seemed really quiet at This Tent while the acts before and after them were at normal volume levels. I ended up bailing on the Throwback Superjam partially because I was on the left side and the sound bleed from Bassnectar and the Kalliope caused me a bunch of issues with hearing anything.

Shade tents in the What stage field. And possibly misters in the tents if that's possible, and strategically placed around the festival would be nice too.
1. Drop the new empty Camelbak policy, maybe by just requiring them to be open for a sniff test. Time suck=harder to stay hydrated.
There was only one time which I went in that they were making people do this and I don't think it is a coincidence that this was by far the longest it took me to get in all weekend.
I'm confused. You guys had to empty your camelback before entry? Not only did this never happen to me - I was also never searched. A couple times they felt camelback (I guess looking for bottles), but thats it. never hadto open my bag, never was patted down. And many times I was just waved in through without anything at all. I was VIP this year - is this a VIP perk? Last year I wasn't VIP and I was patted down and backpack searched every time.

I did see one person in the VIP line told to dump out their camelbak, but I walked in everyday through VIP with mine half full, not trying to hide the hose or anything, and nobody made me dump mine out.

Must be a VIP perk - I never emptied mine either. They basically glanced inside of all of my zipped compartments and sent me on my way.

I can't say in general, but I know the searches I got the year I had a VIP wristband were easily the lightest ones of my Bonnaroo experiences.

the one time I waited on a taxi from pod 10, it took forever to flag one down. MOAR TAXI!

I said that Sunday -- they need more misting tents throughout centeroo. Never thought about them INSIDE the tents but omg that would be amazing!!!
As much as I hated being camped in Pod 10, I realize that we can't all be close to Centeroo. What I don't understand is why, for the love of all that is holy, they couldn't have done a proper mowing job before camping people out there. The grass length was ridiculous, which created a bigger bug problem. I've never had a problem with bugs/spiders before. We were also closer to the thicker woods than past years, so that probably contributed. I came home with grass in EVERYTHING.
Also, those Kohler shower upgrades were so widely advertised and talked up, but the shower spot in Pod 10 was not affiliated, had freezing cold water no matter what time of day you showered, and also didn't participate in the discount time slots (and he got pissy when my camp mate asked about it). He also operated different hours than were stated in the book. A little consistency in that matter would have been appreciated.
As far as those artsy shade spots...I understand they look cool, but they're borderline useless. Can we have those like underneath a full-coverage tent or something? Because we need all the shade we can get, haha.
Security even at the gates to enter the grounds seemed unclear and inconsistent. Nerdbyrd followed us in, so I told the guys checking cars that I was waiting for her, they told me to just pull forward a little and wait for her. When I did that, some lady came from the side, screaming that I couldn't stop there. Rather than attempt to move, I acted confused and explained what I had been told by the first guys until Racheal was through the check point and we just went on our way. On that note, my car was hardly even checked. They peeked around without opening doors and tried to look in at the trunk, but it was impossible to do anything without unloading it. Perk of having it crammed full, I guess. Certainly not a complaint, just saying, haha. Maybe if we all pack our cars that tightly, security check points would move quicker next year. ;-)
I'd prefer if they moved the lockers back outside Centeroo. Or maybe have some inside and some outside and let us choose? I understand the logic behind having them inside so you don't have to go back through the line...but I wanted to use mine to store liquor and refill my bottles to take it into Centeroo, haha.
I'm personally not a fan of how What Stage field gets opened before the first show of the day. Waiting until less than an hour before the show and then opening it to allow a Running Of The Bulls-type situation is about the least safe way to handle that, in my opinion. It's also not fair to those who were willing to wait several hours beforehand to get a good spot (but not willing/able to run in that heat, haha).
I know the sound bleed has been touched on, but it's already bad enough between This and Other without Kalliope. I've never been around when Kalliope was alive, but I can only imagine that it creates problems. I also noticed it this year between Who and Which. Not sure who played Which during Elle King's set at Who, but I could hear it loud and clear.
Wow Pod 10 must have been a hell whole this year. From people on here to people I met on the form they hated it there. I was VIP this year. They only made us dump out our Camel backs on Friday. As far as bag searches. They looked in the bag one day and felt the bag all the other days
Sound bleed for Robert Plant was a pisser and Superjam had many people leave because they simply couldn't hear it. Also get some damn Disney training on traffic control. Wednesday night halfway point to Roo should't be Nashville when you're driving from Michigan.
Afuckingmen. We also came in from Michigan. I was almost reduced to tears on several occasions as we inched our way toward a 5:30am campsite setup.
