God damnit Paul!!!! It's all good man. It's just a bunch of people who are already going being impatient. It's not like the additions are going to convince anybody to go that wasn't already planning on going
Currently giving the new album a listen to decide the appropriate level of excitement. Does he play with a live band?!?!
Those tour dates are supposed to be for his Michal Menert & the Pretty Fantastics 6 piece live band. He's also doing some solo gigs on this tour so it's hard to tell if it will be the band of not until it's official. Either way, he always puts on a great show. There wouldn't be "Pretty Lights" without Menert.
Now that I look into it, it's unlikely Menert will bring a band with him to Hulaween.
When asked about "why no band for Art Outside?," Menert responded "Because it's a festival and too far to drive the gear from Kzoo, MI. the night before."
Considering he will be with the band in Denver 10/30, it's unlikely he will be bringing the whole band with him so it's most likely a solo gig or maybe a Pretty Lights Music collab as he has done before.

In other exciting news, Suwannee Hulaween is ecstatic to announce the #HulaweenFL costume theme as “Ghoul Train” (think the late 70′s early 80′s TV hit “Soul Train” x “Monsters” or “The Adams Family”).
We can’t wait to see what kind of creatively kooky costumes are on display Halloween night!

Nothing on the new anoucement has me jumping up and down(maybe the Dumpsta), not that I expected it too, but still some quality acts in there. and excited for the Polish Ambassador. Thursday is going to be a funking party!! Dumpstaphunk, JRAD, EOTO, and Herd of Watts, which is a local band I found jamming late night in the woods last year. Looking forward to seeing them again.
If Bath Salt Zombies have a night set, check them out. Black lights are a part of their act, but they can play and the UV purple adds to the experience.
As for the theme, we can work with it. SCC is going, 'Muppets do Hula' this year and we will have to add some funky soul to that. Clarity, Looks like we will be looking for a unicorn with some soul hopping around.
To me Polish, Manic Science, Menert & Tauk are huge additions despite not being headliners, per se. I'm really excited to see each. Last time I saw Polish was Counterpoint 2013 and his sound seemed a bit muted so it wouldn't bleed into a headliner's set. I'd love to see him do his thing without restraint. Tauk is a festie bucket list act of mine I have been trying to see for a couple years now, but it never seems to work out. Manic Focus was outstanding when I saw him last year. I can't wait to see what he does with the always great Break Science guys. I won't be able to swing the preparty but those are great adds too!
I'm really excited about many of the smaller/local bands added. Heavy Pets are always great and I love Greenhouse. The Heard is awesome! Modern Measure is another great live-tronica duo. Beebs never lets me down. Displace melts faces as do Squeedlepuss and the Groove Orient. I always need more S.P.O.R.E and BSZ/Morning Fatty are some newfound favorites.
I'll probably have a few conflicts come schedule time, but hopefully they won't be too crazy.
Honestly, just listen to Acid Rap because thats probably like 90% of his best work
Ftfy
Agreed, but the only thing for Chance to truly compare to Acid Rap at the moment is 10 Days, which is good but certainly inferior to Acid Rap. Surf isn't really a Chance album/mix tape, and the Chance/Lil B mixtape is a bunch of freestyles. Once he puts out the next true "Chance the Rapper" album/mix tape, then we can debate his best work. I have real high hopes for the album because the list of people who are supposedly working on it is very enticing
I have 2 Werewolf VIP I need to sell to be able to go, had some friends back out. looking to get $500 each out of them paid over $600 per. Lets talk about the real reason Hulaween is going to be amazing,
Spirit Lake
"Fans can expect an epic fusion of dazzling lights, art installations and performance art that morphs the Spirit Lake waterfront and adjacent forest into a vivid dream-like space that fully engages the senses. "
From my understanding the people who organize Art for Electric Forrest are the same individuals that work Hula. They do an absolutely fantastic job interacting and working with the natural templet, to create a visual experience like no other. Spanish Moss(SM), it brings the woods to life. (do not put spanish moss on you, unless you like RED bugs) Difficult to describe and better left to experience, but lets just say SM and Lasers equals winning. There should be some Sparceland metal fire sculptor, or better known around here as the art of such n such, maybe Hamageddon moves your taste buds? Hope the Jelly Dome is back. Last year we got the highly stimulating Sonic Forrest and I hope it returns. A beautiful Earth Mandala was started last year and the main structure has been preserved and untouched, looking forward to seeing them build onto that. I am rambling, because the real reason I started this post, I am even more excited this year, I am proud to say a few of Inforoo's very own, will be displaying art projects at Spirit Lake.
I would like to say congratulation, quacking job well done! and a BIG Funk Yeah to: Mike D and mojoworks That is right, this guys were accepted as Spirit Lake Artist and soon we all get to enjoy the fruit of their labor. It is being asked they keep their projects quiet, until Hula. Thanks. I can say, they are interactive art projects and visual stimulating. You will enjoy.
Looking forward to seeing what you guys have created.
