as much as I love Kanye he's not really a special booking at this point.
Kanye has a completely different show every year, not to mention he's one of the most unpredictable performers ever. Having Kanye at a festival is always special

I think it would be since it would be his first booking in like a year, will have a whole new stage set production and most likely a new album to work with.

I'm talking special on the level of Daft Punk. Kanye is great, I'm not denying that at all, but he played this fest like 3 years ago, while Daft Punk hasn't toured at all in almost 10 years.

True (and I do get your point)... but I don't think there's any festival booking out there as "special" as DP would be right now (maybe more so last year)

That'd be incredible... but we're also basing all this off a link to a funny little kanye game at the bottom of the page. I could see that on there even if there was no kanye on the lineup (I also wouldn't expect such a blatant hint). More so than anything, though, I couldn't see both Beck and Kanye (two repeat headliners), though perhaps that is a result of the drop offs/panorama debacle.

Maybe Kanye will debut his new album at Governors Ball (if he playes) like he did with Yeezus. Maybe Governors Ball is just where he likes to debut his music now.

I know - just pointing out that kanye could still be a really special booking without being at the daft punk level.
I definitely agree with you though, he's been around a lot lately. Something like WTT or new material from SWISH (similar to his yeezus showcased tracks last time) might bring it up to that point, but fairly unrealistic (at least the former).
