Not sure if it is the same for General Admission, but that hybrid band lineup/food lineup poster map thing that came with the VIP wristbands was weird.

Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

Why was it weird?
Wasn't 100 % sure what it was trying to be. I don't want to hang it up on the wall, and I already know the band lineup and foods and have an app for anything that I missed.

I think it's a little too soon to be believing any forecast yet. Besides, the forecast I saw said that Friday will be 77 and sunny, Saturday is 76 and cloudy, and Sunday having PM thunderstorms. Could be ALOT worse.

The Strokes are playing a show at the Capital Theatre in Portchester the Tuesday before Gov Ball. Same thing they did in 2014. Really wish I could make it as that 2014 Portchester show is the second best time I saw them!

This is the show I was hinting at that would lessen The Strokes/Robyn conflict. I'll see you guys there.
I feel like everyone is about half as excited as they were for the last Strokes Gov Ball/Cap theatre play. No new music, just seems like a continued cash grab.

As a huge Strokes fan, I agree. If they don't switch up their setlist Gov Ball will be the last time I go out of my way to see them.
That being said, this Cap Theater show is worth it. They sounded incredible there last time and its by far the smallest, non-sponsored show they've done in ages. Just be wary of the security at the Cap. I don't think they expected so many young fans last time and their poor handling of the situation nearly caused a stampede.
I feel like they wouldn't play this show and/GovBall without new music. There will probably be a new single played at both. Either way they barely play the exact same setlist if you look on setlist.fm so we won't get the exact same thing as last time. I'm personally hoping for the same setlist they did at Big Guava. That covered the most ground for me

Out of the five times I've seen them since 2010 the only time they've really changed it up was Port Chester/Gov Ball 2014. Their setlist from that Samsung show for SXSW was lame, but I'm still hoping they'll change it up.

Someone asked him on Twitter if The Strokes would be debuting new songs at Gov Ball, and he gave a coy but noncommittal response along the lines of "You'll just have to wait and see". So who knows? It would be disappointing if they didn't play at least one or two new songs, especially after that rumor about a new single earlier this year.

Honestly, I don't give a shit about new stuff. They have barely played anything from the very underrated Comedown Machine so this will probably be another album they release and promptly stop caring about.

I highly doubt a festival organizer has consulted with the band as to what their setlist will be. Anyways, The Strokes are at that point in their career where no one really cares if they put out new music or not. Think about it, does the world REALLY need another Strokes record in 2016? It will just take up more setlist space for the oldies leading fans to decry "WTF NOT ENOUGH OLD SONGZZZ!"

ALL I WANT IS TAP OUT LIVE
This 100%. Comedown Machine has some great songs on it, and it's really weird that the only song they play off it is the worst one (Welcome to Japan).
Tap Out, All the Time, One Way Trigger. Would love to hear those.

I think they played One Way Trigger and All The Time at Primavera last summer. Fingers crossed!

They have been playing One Way Trigger pretty often recently
I'm just surprised how little they play Under Cover of Darkness. That is one of my favorites of all time and definitely one of their biggest. Not to mention it is one of the best festival singalongs I can possibly imagine

Thank you! I'm glad someone else likes Comedown Machine. All The Time and One Way Trigger are killer live. Julian really hit those falsetto notes at Portchester 2014. Happy Endings was the best out of the four CM songs I've heard live. That riff is just massive. I'd love Slow Animals or Partners In Crime.
