Well I thought the deadline was 9am EST instead of CDT so I semi rushed and just made sure the tallys added up correctly but looking things over some more, I would rather have the group of people voting for Jazmo to be the ones with open votes next round. I feel we will get more out of it for the town than 2/3 of the votes in our current set up being already decided (in Tejas and Jazmos votes against each other). So with that being said.

I fully understand your logic here, but with a first day like this where there has been limited discussion yet a couple players with avid vote switching (Tainted > Rummy > Carini > Jazmo and then Tejas > Jazmo > Carini > Jazmo > Carini ), I feel like setting up for even further vote-switching before the day ends might not actually be the best for the town. It seems like most people don't have much reasoning for voting the way that they are (understandable, first day and all) and maybe not even much reasoning for switching back and forth, so to continue that - might it allow for further confusion, especially as in later days the town tries to go back and make sense of day one?
This is only my second game playing this online version of Mafia though, so I could be totally off base. Tell me if I am - would be helpful to know if I'm making an illogical point here.

I have always been of the opinion that more info of any and all kinds benefits the town, especially votes. You can talk and talk but in the end your vote is the loudest most powerful thing you can say.

Yes, I don't disagree with any of that - I guess my thoughts were just coming from particularly looking at Tejas and his jaz to carini to jaz back to carini flip-floppiness and how it is already providing for a bit of confusion, and so I was projecting to how producing a situation where more people will effectively be switching their votes again could also be confusing. But confusion is part of the game haha, nvm, I rest my case.

I can't do much else at this point, I also agree Jaz is the most suspicious and I've already got my vote on him. He never read into how suspicious his voting could be until I pointed it out (but on the other hand... he could simply have been trying to cover his bases BECAUSE someone pointed it out) I don't know.
As the tallies stand, Jazmo and Carini will have an open vote. I find it odd that two of the stacked are the ones with open votes in the run off. Jaz and Slack also voted for each other initially, then both changed their votes. I don't know if this means anything, and I have no real reason to change my vote, in fact I feel the mafia are too comfortable i.e. happy with how the votes are stacked. I'd like to see what moves around if I guarantee Carini's vote.

Is this what you're talking about when you say you pointed out my suspicious voting? Because this never even registered on my radar as someone calling me out as suspicious. There are almost always reciprocal votes in Mafia, and those votes almost always move. It's pretty par for the course, so it wasn't something I was trying to "cover my bases" about. I was the first person to cast a vote, and had no way of knowing that Slack would vote for me as well. I'm not sure how that's suspicious.
It is like when you go to the ice cream shop and can't decide between strawberry and chocolate, but your mom said you only get ONE flavor, so you just keep asking for samples of both, continually, unable to decide.

You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

How do I know whether or not it was planned? That's the point of the game isn't it.

Jaz I agree that you and slack voting for each other isn't suspicious. But I want to reiterate why I had my suspicions of you:
A) Jaz and slack vote for each other initially(could be two townies simply voting for each other or mafia distancing)
B) Jaz then is the 1st player to move off his initial vote and creates a stack on Billy (which I think we've agreed is not suspicious since the game has to move along)
C) Slack laters changes his initial vote and voted for the player who stacked on jazmo and never moves his vote from there
To be fair, you did address this and tried to make it look less suspicious
I saw how it would look if Slack and I voted for each other, and then moved both our votes onto Tejas. No bueno. If Slack then noticed this as well, he might feel compelled to move his vote off of Tejas - likely to me in order to erase suspicions of a Slack/Jazmo connection.
The thing is Slack never moved his vote, he never addressed it and has been pretty silent, and you are now out of the day1 runoff.
You didn't make any moves that were intrinsically suspicious but add them all up, and look at them through a lens where day1 everyone is mafia you have to at least see where I'm coming from.

I do now; I hadn't noticed that Slack had voted for the person who stacked on me before. Your suspicion makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

I would much rather have a list of votes to keep track of (especially because they carry the most weight, Carini explained it well) than pages and pages of filler/arguing. Which I understand is the process of the game but the first day doesn't require it to that extent barring an unusual circumstance like the inspector and a mafiosi being in the first day runoff. I will say though, you can hide behind both chatter and silence so going either way doesn't guarantee an outcome.
I didn't actually have any suspicions about Jaz at that point. If I did that would be ludicrous.
Again - first time playing the game. Now I know there's nothing to be worried about.
FWIW, I think you've been doing quite a fine job for first time playing Your posts have been succinct and make sense, and you seem to be approaching what's transgressed with a good deal of logical thought. (Aka, you're doing way better than my clusterfuck of an entrance to playing last game haha, others can vouch for this)

Haha, well thank you. I just see what I see and deduce accordingly like anyone else . I might read into unimportant things .. But everyone seems adamant in convincing me so. So I'm not discarding my suspicions yet

I don't feel confident in either of the people left, though I suppose its a day 1 standard. You've both flubbed up in simple ways, we all do, and I honestly found Jaz to leave more general suspicion. Going back to one, I feel like Tejas got the finger for something we'd all do, though you two have both said things that raise flags.
I know I know, sorry guys :/ I'll explain my vote switching.
Tejas > Jazmo - Initial vote Tejas > Carini - This is where I misread the deadline thinking the runoff ended on Wednesday not Thursday morning
Tejas > Jazmo - Once I realized I misread the deadline date I immediately switched back to Jazmo because I had more conviction with my vote there
Tejas > Carini - This vote was for self preservation. The vote tally was 5-3-3 with me being voted off without a 2nd runoff.
Again, sorry for the confusion I'll pay better attention to the dates and times on day2 if I make it.
I bolded this because I need further explanation. Missing the deadline as you put it would have put you in a 2 way runoff with me and you had an open vote and in a very advantageous position. What exactly was that rush about? What did you think you had to do before the deadline? Please enlighten me.
