Miffy has missed a vote. Next missed vote by that player will be elimination. Rules is rules.
Apparently can't read either. Sorry I'm in school, and have been working extra hours because one of our supervisor's husband passed away. Everything's going back to normal next week.

It's OK. Just don't miss another; rules say I have to shake my finger at you and frown.
The new deadline will still leave time for everyone to enjoy the holiday.

Sorry Mr. Baroo, but you're too good at slipping through games unsuspected. I have no suspicions of you (too early in the game for that), but I'd like to see more heat on you than you usually get.
This was pretty much a toss-up for me. I was originally going to vote for Tejas since he voted for me, but after look at the votes I saw how it would look if Slack and I voted for each other, and then moved both our votes onto Tejas. No bueno. If Slack then noticed this as well, he might feel compelled to move his vote off of Tejas - likely to me in order to erase suspicions of a Slack/Jazmo connection. So I'm voting for Carini largely for self-preservation reasons, since I have no greater suspicion of either of them.
I don't feel confident in either of the people left, though I suppose its a day 1 standard. You've both flubbed up in simple ways, we all do, and I honestly found Jaz to leave more general suspicion. Going back to one, I feel like Tejas got the finger for something we'd all do, though you two have both said things that raise flags.
Tainted > Carini
And here are the votes at the time Tainted makes his post. Again the words in the post are unedited but I have added emphasis in bold:
So to recap my point, Tainted is one of 3 outstanding votes. He mentions suspicion of 1 person who is no longer in the runoff and then VOTES WITH THAT PERSON. Seems kinda suspicious and if the mafia were already aware of who they planned to whack this post could have been a distancing move. For me votes speak louder than words. Tainted words went one direction and his vote went another. Consider me suspicious of that.
Billybaroo > Taint
I voted for carini based on day 1. If everyone threw their vote at every suspicion they had, this game would take up more pages than the headliner discussion thread. I placed my vote where I thought it would logically fit best for my suspicions of the situation, not where Jaz voted. I feel if you go back and read, I've done a pretty good job of explaining my votes. I switched my vote from carini to Jaz because I thought he explained himself well enough to warrant Jaz talking more and used my vote accordingly. I voted for carini in the last runoff because he had not left my frame of concern.
To step sideways from the whack a bit, as I'm sure other runoff candidates will be derived from it I feel like Tejas is/was mafia and it looked to me like Farris was trying to protect him by saying he wanted to stay on him, but when push came to shove his vote was on either Jaz or myself.
Sorry , for my own peace of mind when does Day 2 end? miffy > slack Slacks been quiet and I feel like Jaz brought some attention to him.. Could be nothing again, but for now I'm going with that. Gonna keep re-reading the thread, Im no where near locked in yet (unless the deadline says differently)

Along with the whack and what has transpired so far, I think Billy is most suspicious. He's a good player and to come out completely ignoring the whack and voting for Tainted seemed inconsistent with what he should be doing as a townie.
I don't see much reason why Jaz, if he was inspector, would place his first vote on a mafia so I'm not too worried right now about slack.
Carini I really don't know, but I don't mind that he's voting for Farris because that guy has pretty much posted nothing this game and that is always shady.
For those reasons, Billy is the most suspicious guy that Jazmo voted for and my vote is going on him.

I agree that Farris's extreme degree of silence makes him suspicious. Definitely with you on that one. But it is interesting that you believe Tejas was mafia; idk, I just had a pretty strong feeling by the end of Day 1 (once it was down to the two person run off) that neither of the two were Mafia. It all just went down so easily, seemed to me that the mafia were happy with those final two candidates and then just let it transpire as it did.

ROUND WILL CLOSE @9.00am, WEDNESDAY JULY 8 (I know that is longer than the normal 36 hour round, but I thought it would be rude to close the round at 4am)
Take it easy, pal. I'm just quoting the dead man's voting record.
The first post (not quoted by me) was Jimmy quoting Jazmo's original vote. The second post was Slack's response to Jimmy quoting Jaz' original vote. I was driving on the PA turnpike, stopped at a rest stop when I read Slack's response and thought it was a little off, a little defensive. It reminded me of Mafia 77 when Slack was mafia. He came across as defensive in that game for a missed vote (Farris, as the inspector, came out and Slack was the only one not to move where Farris indicated everyone should move, which was Carini).
The third post here confirms my original thinking, that Jimmy was just posting some Jazmo stuff as clues.
I'm not sure what to make of the Jazmo whack, but I am sure that Slack's defensiveness is concerning to me. At this point, that's where my vote goes until I see something that makes me think I should vote otherwise.
Along with the whack and what has transpired so far, I think Billy is most suspicious. He's a good player and to come out completely ignoring the whack and voting for Tainted seemed inconsistent with what he should be doing as a townie.

If you want to vote for me because Jazmo voted for two people and I am more suspicious than Slack, then fine. But the post below is bullshit and let me explain why.
He's a good player and to come out completely ignoring the whack and voting for Tainted seemed inconsistent with what he should be doing as a townie.
First, lets breakdown the whack. Why Jazmo? I find this to be particularly surprising for a Day 1 whack. Here is a list of everyone who voted for Jazmo: slack, tejas, billy, miffy, tainted, farris. I think that is a large amount for Day 1. I think if Jaz was still alive, he would be picking up heat for surviving. Some people mentioned that they voted for jaz for no reason. But some people mentioned that they did have suspicions of Jaz. See below.
I can't do much else at this point, I also agree Jaz is the most suspicious and I've already got my vote on him. He never read into how suspicious his voting could be until I pointed it out (but on the other hand... he could simply have been trying to cover his bases BECAUSE someone pointed it out) I don't know.
Miffy/sab comes out that she is suspicious of Jaz who is in a 3 way runoff. Jaz survives the 3 way runoff. Would miffy/sab come out after Jazmo on Day 2? I think probable.
Here is taint's post from after Jaz surviving the runoff when it is down to Carini/Tejas.
So, lets run through this hypothetical situation: Jaz/miffy/taint are all town. Why whack Jaz when 2 people have already come out and said they are suspicious of Jaz? It seems like he would have been a likely Day 2 target. If miffy and taint are both town, then the only reason I could see the Mafia whacking Jaz is if they thought he was the inspector. So, Jimmyroo, if that is your thought process, that Jaz might have been inspector and voted for me as his given name, then I can understand that reasoning but I don't think you are taking in to account other factors.
Also, jimmyroo you state that I ignore the whack completely when that is untrue. The post below is my vote from today where I think I pretty clearly lay out the reason for my vote and the reason for my vote is based completely off the whack.
I found this whack to be interesting. Jazmo had already pulled some heat his direction and others had outright mentioned Jaz by name.
I want to run this situation by people.
It was the final runoff of the last round. Tejas and Carini both had 4 votes. There were 3 votes left. Mine, Sab's, and Tainted's.
Taint is the first one to vote. Here is his post, the words are unedited but I did the bolding myself:
And here are the votes at the time Tainted makes his post. Again the words in the post are unedited but I have added emphasis in bold:

Billybaroo > Taint
I feel that I laid out my reasoning for Taint pretty clearly. Taint said he found Jaz suspicious but then voted WITH Jaz when Taint was one of 3 outstanding votes. If Taint thought Jaz was mafia, why not go and vote against Jaz in the chance that 1 of the 2 in the runoff is mafia?????? It makes no sense....... unless Taint is mafia, they had already discussed whacking Jaz at that point and Taint decided to throw in that he was suspicious of Jaz to make him seem more townie.
Taint's rebuttal to my post is below. Where he makes the case for believing Carini was more suspicious than Tejas.
I voted for carini based on day 1. If everyone threw their vote at every suspicion they had, this game would take up more pages than the headliner discussion thread. I placed my vote where I thought it would logically fit best for my suspicions of the situation, not where Jaz voted. But yet in the vote he cast, he mentioned not being confident in the two people left.

Tainted > Carini
So Taint wasn't sure between Carini and Tejas so he looked at only those 2 players and their gameplay. Taint ignored that the one person he did think was mafia and their actions/votes and made a total random guess. If Taint is town, then that is bad gameplay. If Taint is mafia then the post makes sense. In his vote he doesn't mention reasons for voting for Carini at all but defends Tejas and throws shade at the person about to be whacked. Then when I called him out for his vote not following his suspicion he mentions of the 2 he thought Carini was more suspicious but yet he couldn't lay out actual suspicions of Carini in either his vote or his post defending his vote. I don't like that at all.[/quote]
Uh guy, I voted for jaz and lost. You're referencing after the vote narrowed to carini and tejas. So you feel I should have kept my vote on Jaz, despite him no longer being in the runoff by way of other people's votes? I don't understand.
So much text to read, wow. But thanks Billy for that comprehensive breakdown - it helped me form some theories and opinions.
I have an idea of who I'm going to vote for, but I have a quick question directed towards the more experienced/seasoned players: does anyone else find it a bit suspicious that Miffy has not just missed her vote once (which is fine, she said something happened in real life; I don't doubt that) but also KEEPS saying things like "I hope I get it right this time!" and "what's the deadline again?" She could always just look back and check on that.
My question to other players is, do you think it has been a commonly implemented strategy in the past to use ~noob~ players that are assigned Mafia status to put up an air of "accidentally" missing deadlines and not knowing how to meet future ones, etc.?
I'm not putting too much weight behind this observation about miffy, but it did stand out to me upon rereading the past couple of pages just now.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

No. I'm saying you should have voted for Tejas. The one person you were suspicious enough to mention was Jazmo. Below is the vote before you voted. You were the first out myself/miffy/billy to vote and your vote was the first to be cast after the tally below.
If you weren't sure between Carini/Tejas...... why not vote the opposite of the 1 person you thought was maybe mafia?? If you were right and Jaz was mafia (clearly incorrect) then all you did with your vote was help Jaz out.
So this has been proven to be wrong but lets run out your post logically. You weren't sure between Carini and Tejas. We know this because you mention it. But you do mention a suspicion of Jaz. So what if either Tejas or Carini was mafia with Jaz? Wouldn't Jaz vote to save them? So why help Jaz save one of his own mafia members by voting the same as Jaz did by voting for Carini?
If you voted for Carini and listed out reasons while still mentioning suspicion of Jaz, then fine. But you didn't do that. You said "I don't feel confident in either of the people left" so then you ignored the one thing (albeit wrong) which was Jaz might be mafia that you still felt confident enough to make public knowledge and then supported Jaz with your vote.
It doesn't make sense.
Why would I assume that Jaz' strategy is to vote not based on positioning but based simply on who he believed to be mafia, if I am assuming he is mafia? To me, that is counter intuitive and doesn't make sense.

I don't feel the need to defend myself too much because no one else seems to make much of it, but I know the rules are "guidelines" to a certain extent - 36hrs fell at 4am on Wednesday, the Ref extended the deadline to compensate for that did he not? I'm not going to assume any deadlines in this game: that's how I fucked up the first time. I would like to say my rooky-ness is some elaborate plan to fool you all but reality is, it's not that exciting. My summer course started a week earlier than I thought (see a common theme here..?), and I have been working 9 hours/day among other things. I'm really just a hot mess always.
Thank you for making me look back at all your posts - Lots of talk and no vote, if you ask me. Why bring that stuff up about me if you don't want to act on it?
To step sideways from the whack a bit, as I'm sure other runoff candidates will be derived from it I feel like Tejas is/was mafia and it looked to me like Farris was trying to protect him by saying he wanted to stay on him, but when push came to shove his vote was on either Jaz or myself.

What tipped me off on Tejas was when he tried to claim he misread the deadline after his vote change to me. If he "missed" the deadline as he put it what would have happened is he would have gone into a 2 way runoff against me with his vote open and mine on him giving him an advantage. The last time a player tried to sneak through without a final runoff I was mafia with them and myself and the other mafia member were against them doing this. Also when I asked him to clarify he didn't respond. Tejas isn't the most talkative player around but it also isn't like him to duck something.

I think it was a fair question - last game was my first on the board, and I think several people found me to be suspicious when I demonstrated confusion over rules and deadlines, etc. I was town but ended up getting whacked Day 1 because I think I was confusing some people and leading them to believe it was a Mafia strategy or that I was inspector. Since others expressed that last game, I was curious if the players this game had received a similar impression from you. That's all.
As for talking and not yet voting this round, we are only a few hours into Day 2. I'm reading what others have to say and reflecting on past pages; I don't feel the need to cast my vote immediately if I'm not sure of who I want to vote for right now. Yes I have some theories but I'm still stewing on them.

Potent >>> Slack
If I had wanted Jazmo dead, I wouldn't have switched my vote until he eliminated from the runoff. In 77, I wanted Farris dead, so I didn't switch my vote. You're pointing to my being mafia because I did the exact opposite of how I've played mafia in previous games.
Wat.
You're trying to spin my play in other games so that you're convincing other players that I'm mafia.
Also, Miffy, I haven't been as quiet as I have been in other games. This was the the Fourth of July weekend and I had a lot of shit going on. Namely, multiple parties.
