I guess. Schoolboy might be a bit too big for Thursday but that's a shame because he'll get an afternoon show ans that's never good for a hip hop show, especially one with a party atmosphere like his
Danny Brown and ASAP Ferg still had pretty energetic shows despite being at 4 in the afternoon. But still if Schoolboy could close a tent on Sunday, that'd be pretty fantastic.

he is not big enough to close a tent on Sunday.
With a second album he could be. I mean G-Eazy did last year......

Yes, cite arguably the worst booking/scheduling of last year as evidence. haha, g-eazy level of terribleness is jaw dropping
My only friend I went with this year said he wanted to see G-Eazy...I said ew and "he makes rap music for rich white kids" his response "I'm a rich white kid...." I couldn't argue any further

Schoolboy Q is way bigger than you think, probably too big for a tent. You're way off on this one.
woah, woah, woah. Don't do Bonnaroo a disservice by not realizing their scheduling impotence. Luda was too big for a tent, too, but dammit they made it happen!

really? man, that's fine with me cause he's decent and the only time I saw him, the Hip Hop SJ in 2013, I really liked it but that was with Lettuce as a backing band and Jazz on the decks, so that's unfair. I guess we shall see this year (assuming hes there)

Yeah he blew up after Oxymoron came out. He makes about 4 times what Danny Brown and ASAP Ferg make, and those guys had no trouble filling up a tent at 4pm.

I'm not saying he couldn't play in a tent, but he's a top 20 name and it would be absolutely packed.
I only listened to a few songs, it's kinda funny to just hear how bad it is but it's long as fuck and I wouldn't recommend listening to it all.
I listened to the first three songs. I felt nothing. It was the weirdest thing, like it wasn't unbearable to listen to, but it didn't sound very good either. It's like it wasn't even music, it was just sounds coming out of my computer.

If there is a Schoolboy release next year it would be his 3rd record.
Other pointless corrections: - As I say everytime AC/e / now LN has pulled it, but it's a total waste using energetic hip hop acts Sunday Other Tent. It would be much more gratifying to have Schoolboy "close" out a That or This Tent on Thursday. I will always vote for a LN Tent show instead on Friday but ya know... - Pulling Big Grams for a showing PROBABLY means What or Which stage to complement their previous appearances on the farm, and the fact that the only smart way to make that show worth it is to make it an extended type of show where they have the ability to break into sets. I love Big Boi and Phantogram - I just don't know if that record is strong enough to get the David Byrne & St. Vincent treatment. - snorlax Death Grips is done as a group for the foreseeable future
hahah, I also had the most absurd dream of there being an 90's hip-hop focused line up - i.e. if Missy, De La Soul, or Cypress Hill (yea, 2006 was the last time they were on the farm), Big Boi, or Meth/Red. With that said, my pipe dream would be Madlib getting Wildchild and Lootpack together for a mini tour. There are a lot of pipes in that dream.

I always thought of Habits & Contradictions as a mixtape. But I guess it's hard to tell these days what is and isn't an official album. I thought ASAP Rocky in 2013 was perfect though. I think the energetic hip hop set can work on Sunday because that's the day everyone goes crazy doing the rest of their drugs and what not. I know Sunday is usually thought of as the chill day, but once the sun starts to go down everyone is ready for their big finale, and having some energetic closers helps for people that don't care for the Sunday headliner.

We're both wrong - I wiki'd it. It would be his 4th - he has a record called Setbacks that's a studio release too. I'll have to go check it out at some point. It's a valid opinion about Sunday but I also am influenced by the fact that I think the Other Tents sound staff just doesn't give a fuck about hip hop. So many of the shows I've seen there have been plagued with terrible vocal presence and I can't overlook after so many years

That's funny because that's where a lot of the hip hop tends to be.
