Had a f'n blast at this show. We had incredible seats, front row near the center of the 300's with no rows behind us (just lighting guys). Was able to zone in on the music distraction free 10x more than usual shows.
This was my girl's first full on Dead experience (Bob Weir Campfire Band at Wanee isn't quite the same ha) and she absolutely loved it. She's 100% in for the Lakewood show. So glad it's there and not Alpharetta. Hate having to drive through all the traffic hassle for a venue that I don't see as being that much better.
Agreed on Peggy-O. Kinda killed my vibe a little bit. Just got too slow even compared to the Furthur versions of it with Phil singing.
GPJ was def the highlight of the night, besides Drums>space which is always my top moment.
The second set started off with a bang with the Scarlet>Fire but the Ship of Fools after Truckin' completely killed the momentum. The second set in Florida last night was more of my type of 2nd set.
Didn't end up buying the poster as $70 for a Helton is outrageous, but definitely regret it now as they are going for over $300 on ebay. Shoulda got 5 and flipped 4. Oh well!
Only merch I got in the lot was this awesome Make America Grateful Again tie dye in the lot with Throwing Stones lyrics on it, very cool. Will prob be my voting shirt from now on.
2/26/18 Sunrise FL I: Shakedown Street Cassidy Comes A Time They Love Each Other Bird song New Speedway Boogie Bird Song Deal
II: The Weight Help> Slip> Eyes (interesting) Dark Star Drums/Space Days Between Throwing Stones
Anyone there last night? Might be one of my favorite setlists I've seen from them yet. Would love something like that in NYC this summer.
Very curious to hear their Call Me Al cover
I had band practice so I missed the show stream but from what I was reading real time on Facebook, Bob wanted nothing to do with it and cut it off quick. I am looking around for the audio now.

It seemed more intentional than that to me. I don't think Bob cut them off so much as he just continued with his part of the mashup. It was a great Wheel even without Call Me Al in the mix.
Def need more Dead in my life now after NOLA. ATL is too far away.
Torn between going back to Wanee which has Phil x2 and DSO or spending hundreds of dollars less and going to see two nights of the Black Angels tour and Shpongle/Alex Grey on Bicycle Day in NOLA.
Wow wee, that Bob Weir and Phil Lesh show in Boston last night was phenomenal! Here was the setlist:
Uncle John’s Band Black-Throated Wind Cosmic Charlie Lazy River Road New Minglewood Blues Girl From The North Country Box Of Rain
Alligator > Cassidy > Jack Straw Mountains Of The ‘Moon > Rosemary > Mountains Of The Moon > Cumberland Blues Viola Lee Blues > The Wheel > Morning Dew
Encore: Its All Over Now Baby Blue
I loved pretty much everything about last night - but the highlights were easily Cosmic Charlie, Alligator > Cassidy > Jack Straw and Morning Dew. The guests were Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams
Larry was incredible - playing not only the guitar but mandolin and fiddle as well. Cassidy and Viola Lee Blues with violin is a must hear

That Mountains > Rosemary > Mountains was great. Rosemary has only been played live a handful of times, mostly by Furthur.
Been digging the setlists this tour. Any word on how they're sounding? Haven't checked out any of the streams.
Doing my best to work out some tickets for Friday
I think last night was kind of a letdown (except if you like Corrina which I actually do) but every other show I have streamed has been amazing. The transitions between songs are the best they have been wioth this band and the jams have gone out there a bit more thanprevious tours. I am only hitting Darien on this tour unfortunately but I can't wait.
SPAC is really my only option unless I can talk the family into a weekend in Boston or NYC around those dates. And SPAC is a Tuesday again which means two vacation days. I may not even see a show this tour.
i don't know much about the dead, but my friends are all really into them. they're throwing a merry jerry christmas party in a few weeks, mostly as an excuse to get everyone together. i thought you guys might be interested in the mug and ornament i just made for the gift exchange.
