I wouldn't ever pay these prices to see D&C. JRAD is superior in every way. If I can see Phil & the TFB for like $20 (3rd party reseller) why would I pay this much for D&C?
Saw them on both Chicago shows this weekend. On Friday there were multiple rain delays and it really affected the band it seemed like. Fun night overall still but felt like I missed out a little. They fucking made up for it on Saturday though, oh man. Great setlist, really great energy all around. Would like to listen to this show again for sure.
they are definitely touring again right? got a jrad show coming up. All dead & slow jokes aside I enjoy dead & co and getting to go to big shows. Bobby is going to be on a podcast with stugotz some time this week maybe we get news after that.
I’m going to the Dodger Stadium show, first Dead-anything show for me.
Shakedown at Dodger Stadium is wild. Be sure to hit it up for the full experience.
This was no lie. I haven’t seen shit like that since Bonnaroo or All Good 2007.
Tour opener at Dodgers Stadium was spectacular. My favorite Dead show I’ve seen. Just wow, they crushed it. Converted a bunch of first timers too and couldn’t have planned for a better setlist - Playing in the Band, Feel Like A Stranger, Casey Jones, China Cat Sunflower, Scarlet Begonias, I Know You Rider…phew!

took my cousin for his first Dead show and it was insane, got there about 3pm for Shakedown.. lots of fun that spilled over to Sunday night in DTLA then slept all day Monday.
I didn't get to stay for the whole show, dipped out to the parking lot during Drums but had an amazing time, the band sounded real good. I'm not a big deadhead but they were firing on all cylinders.

I watched the live stream and had a great time. Was tickled when I said I wanted Althea, Scarlet Begonias, and China>>Rider in one show and they came all in a row. I think the Philly show may be the only one I may be able to swing, but I think I'm going to get out my bat and see what happens.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Yea, Althea opener for the second set was great too! Hope you end up going to Philly and have a great time!
Got myself a ticket for Saturday night at Wrigley with a buddy who hasn't seen them before, really excited. Wish I was going both nights but don't think that'd fly with my g/f after I did both last year too lol

Come to Philly! I wanna go but need a friend to push me over the edge.
Randomly was able to score a pair of tix for Dead & Co this saturday via domore. So excited, i know little to nothing about the Dead but i’m sure it’ll be a blast

that saturday setlist was great. all of set 2 is just a great run of tunes plus The Wheel in the first set.
i only went friday but we got a wharf rat tease> dark star in set 1 and then estimated prophet>the other one tease > dark star in set 2; hey jude and dear mr. fantasy covers, a miles davis D&C debut (All Blues).
Jay Lane was sitting in for Billy for most of the night bc he's still recovering from a shoulder injury.
sorry i didn't reach out to meet up - I was at a bachelor party and things were just pretty hectic.

Saturday was actually the first time in my life I've been scammed buying tickets lol so we did not make it in =( thought since the guy was willing to do paypal g&s it'd be legit but apparently he didn't know I could get my money back? lol oh well, at least I've seen them before. I hope your bachelor party was fun! =) you were missed, but we will meet again!
that was an awesome show. didnt recognize any songs aside from the covers but still had a fuckin blast. would have been nice to hear truckin, terrapin, US Blues, ripple or touch of grey but they still put on an insane show. the tickets ended up being GA Field as well. There was like an hour long rain delay so it ended up unfortunately being a shorter set which makes me wonder what was cut from set 1
this is really cool. you can pick a song from Venetta '72 and mute/solo the different tracks. pretty cool to hear isoloated jerry/bobb/phil, etc. Or just mute one of them to jam along.

this is a really sneaky way for them to hold auditions to replace Mayer for next year
