They should go on and announce Stars Of The Lid, too. That's my biggest want this year, I think.
Well that didn't take long............WHO?
Remember A Winged Victory For The Sullen? One of the dudes from that band cut his teeth in another called Stars Of The Lid. They ruled.
They seem to be doing "special shows" these days. Two this September, alone. I tried to make the Brooklyn one happen but having babies is expensive. Who knew? Check them out. All the albums are on Spotify, I know.
I'll have a wishlist tomorrow, I'm sure.

A Haxan Cloak set in the Bijou ala Ben Frost would be incredible. As would Battles, imo.

Probably one of the biggest mistakes I've made was, missing Flying Lotus for Zomby. He stood on stage, drank in a mask, and pushed play. By the time I realized it wasn't getting any better the whole venue had cleared out.

Reserved at the Knoxville Marriott. It's officially on.
You might want to look at a map and see where it is located at. This is not an easy walk to the theaters.
It's not a terrible walk. There are certainly better options downtown. I would have to compare prices to see if it would be worth it. If you do it, walk down W Hill to get to Gay Street. Walking up toward the bus station would be a bad play after dark.
I figured I could see it from the Bijou. That's not that horrible, imo. Plus, everything is all jacked up that week. I can't justify spending over $400/425 for a Thursday/Friday/Saturday. I did Booking.com so if something better comes along, I'll cancel.
I don't know how I feel about the thursday-saturday thing. I was almost certainly planning on going again since I'm within driving distance now, but I guess I'll have to see how my classes pan out... :/
