"In lieu of a presale for the 2016 festival, we'll be offering weekend passes at the lowest price ever plus a broader scope of ticketing options to maximize your opportunities to experience the festival, including a day pass for as little as $49.50. Details coming soon."

Why does this statement worry me so?
It feels like that time that Moogfest (MOEMS) offered $100 weekend passes. I'm betting half days.
That said, it really could mean nothing other than selling single show tickets alongside weekend and day passes.

"Lend an attentive ear: we'll be announcing our 2016 composer-in-residence next week + the full lineup in all of its sonic glory the following week. Enjoy a sneak peek at the new look of 2016, and stay tuned for artist hints coming soon! #BigEarsKnox"

So definitely a Composer-in-Residence, as opposed to Artists-in-Residence...makes it sound like we'll be having someone from the classical side of the avant-garde. I'm probably over thinking the semantics, but if it was any of my original guesses (Pauline Oliveros, La Monte Young, David Byrne, Philip Glass), I think they would have been listed as Artist-in-Residence (since they compose & perform)...
Great, since its a composer there's a 0 percent chance I'm going to know who the fuck it is.
Forget the funny jokes. I'm glad it gets to be a new discovery. They haven't let me down with the "In Residence" yet and I'm sure they won't this time.

I could see it happening. Badalamenti would be th shit though.
I'm afraid to make any predictions because I'm not even current on what's out/coming out. Phyre Fest brought up Tortoise in the Coachella thread and I thought I'd post it here too.
