The last five vote changes have all been off of Potent. I'm hesitant to speak when in a runoff because experience has shown me that this tends to garner me votes, but does no one else find that to be just a little suspicious? If we want to vote someone straight off that's fine, but we've gone to a de facto runoff between Rothric and I because apparently everyone thinks potent is significantly less suspicious. That's a train I'm not ready to hop on (and not just because I'm in the runoff). I don't think the fact that no one jumped to save potent clears him off anything...there was so much time left in the round at that point. If nobody thought he was suspect before that's one thing, but I've never seen a mass exodus off a player like that before. You would think that if someone truly didn't have a preference between Rothric and I they would stay on potent and let the other townies decide, but instead we have players moving their votes. That piques my curiosity.

I certainly see what you are saying. There could be something to what you said last night. In that the mafia was sitting back waiting for someone to make the first move.
As far as a mass exodus off of Potent, part of that can be explained by talk of going ahead and settling this day without another runoff. So that partially explains at least some of those moves, if not all. It's certainly possible that it provided a cover for a mafia member to move their vote. But the suspects seemed limited when you consider that several of these people voted to put Potent in that position to begin with... votes that likely weren't distancing moves, to be specific. I just have a hard time rapping my head around how it could be a full on mafia push.
That's not to say that mafia had to be switching votes to save Potent. It could easily be to buddy up with him or make themselves look less suspicious in the eyes of people that didn't like how things were standing at that time.
Are there other possible angles you are thinking of here?
Any reason why we should change our vote from you to Jaz?
Nothing that you haven't heard before. I know I'm town, and I don't know whether Jazmo or Potent are either mafia or town. Too early for me to have a clear reading on them.

I didn't find Potent that suspicious before LD's little stunt, so that didn't have much bearing on me. I had kept my vote on Potent at that time to preserve the runoff that was going. I do think a large majority of the votes off of Potent were in response to wanting this day to be done without another runoff.
I'm definitely in favor of that, even if I'm the one to be voted off. We need to get to Day 2 so the town can have some real info to try and work with.
I do agree with you, that Potent is in no way cleared in my mind. I agree that there was still plenty of time left, and LD jumped the gun on "clearing" him. That could possibly be something to look at in the future.
Wouldn't mind hearing from Cap'n Mac before the round closes. His move to me, along with Phi's, were simply to even things up. Sleepy hasn't said anything since then, and curious why he intends to leave his vote on me now that it really matters.

Correct, when I thought we were going into an add'l runoff. To be fair, I think my suspicions do lie more with Jaz right now, but it's tough to say. Reviewing the thread, you've contributed more of substance so far. He didn't really state much of a reason when switching his vote to you, but I was willing to look past that at first, this being day one. What's sticking in my craw more now is his lengthy post about a potential connection between you and LD. It's far too early in the game to reliably make any kind of link from one player to the next. Jazmo is a veteran player and should know this, so that kind of talk doesn't seem part of his usual M.O.

Also, I feel like EAP is being a little TOO quiet.
I still wish we could have moved around to the runoff I wanted. I still think that would have been best.
Also, come on you bunch of mafia pussies. Did you seriously not take time to talk about the whack this weekend? Let's get this going you chicken fuckers.

While wandering in the woods gathering berries today, SuperFurryAnimal got distracted by the alluring smell of a fellow SuperFurryAnimal (e.g. a bunny rabbit), and as he peered into the bushes to find the furry friend and call him out to play, an ax flew through the air and hit him square in the back. SFA collapsed immediately and iz dead.
(I'm at family dinner now and cannot post a tally/log list to start us out, but feel free to go ahead and vote, and I will update in a couple hours. Round will end Wednesday Sept 16th at 9 am.)

Looking back at SFA's post, he was suspicious of all the votes moving off of Potent. Or mafia could have just been wanting to get rid of the most experienced player. I'm gonna see where it goes w/ potent for now.

Phi > Potent
Can you please point out which post of SFA's you are interpreting to be suspicious of all the votes moving off me? I think you're talking about Jazmo. If SFA made a post that you are interpreting that way, please quote it and explain your interpretation.

I interpret this post as SFA saying that he wanted EAP in the runoff on Day 1. I was ready to vote EAP, and the SFA whack would have made me do it, except that Phi cast a really off base vote for me as far as his reasoning. I'm torn between the two.

If I'm going to be in the runoff, I think a Jazmo/Rothric runoff is the way to go. Jazmo might not be Mafia, but he's more suspicious to me then Potent. I know my vote is on Potent atm, but that's just to keep the runoff right now. Not trying to make a move to vote Jazmo straight off.
Wish some others would chime in, been the same few discussing things so far.
Pretty much agree with this. This was the runoff I'd been wanting. Not really for anything you two had done but because It would force more interesting moves.
Experience tells me the odds are on Potent likely being innocent. The ridiculous amount of silence the last couple days makes me lean even more in that direction. While part of me thinks switching things up will just cause confusion, I don't think it's wise for the townies to just except their fate and give the mafia a round.
I'm voting for Rothric for several reasons.
-I'm hesitant to vote along with a couple of the people with votes on Potent and Jaz. - I'd be voting along with the person that the situation makes look innocent. - If any of the these three is mafia in a situation as quite as this... it's likely the one about to squeak by or it was the one that did so when the runoff was at four. - Looking back, there are almost no reasons given for the votes so far. At least throwing a wrench in the gears might finally get some discussion going.
Damn sleepy, you had to wait till the last second to kill Jaz?
I had no idea when Rummy was going to close voting.
A short extension was discussed last night, and then I posted - at the very top of this page - the updated tally as of that point plus the information that the round would close at 2 pm today, both bolded and underlined.
