No one is helping by pretending you know who is who so early.
I agree with you on this thought entirely, which is why we can both take comfort in the fact that this group doesn't mind vote switching in the last minutes.

Concur. This is a fair point that I will grant to you. I'm just looking for someone to come up with an alternate theory. I'll be glad to admit I'm wrong if I'm wrong.
Yeah. It is a seriously dumb rule - wish that the auto lynch occurred ALONGSIDE lynching whoever the town wants to kill off. But alas, I aint the Mafia rule setter. And I think it is kind of outside my purview as first time ref to dismiss that rule.
so as it looks right now, JR will die tonight, and we will go into night and then to Day 3.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

do you have an alternative solution? I remember this being discussed at length. It really handicaps the town. in this current scenario, if JR were mafia, it's far less likely he goes MIA like this, unless he pops back in at the last second and turns the tides. That said, I remember a game where sleepy was mafia and missed 1 vote, so who knows I guess,
Best case scenario, if JR doesn't show, jaz or JR are mafia and we're not looking at a sudden death day 3.
Also, not to say it wasn't a suspicious move, but would sleepy really pull such a late vote to change the day 1 vote off being mafia? Seems a little too bold of a move for day 1. I also don't think if jaz and sleepy were both mafia, that there would be any need for such a drastic "distancing move. As far as day 1 mindset for mafia goes, lay low and repair any damage after the whack. But that's just my train of thought on it.

Just playing Devil's Advocate, but what's so bad about this rule? I think I'd prefer it this way rather then lose 3 people tonight.
Couple reasons why. First, more info from the upcoming night's whack for the town. Might save them from mistakenly lynching a townie. And if nothing new is revealed, the town can just proceed with you they would have whacked had the auto lynch nit occurred.
Second would be just straight numbers. Aren't you supposed to have an odd number of players in each round to prevent a stalemate? If you kill 3 people in a day, you'd end up with an even number.

Boner I'll throw out the first solution that sprung to mind in the referendum thread. Was just thinking out loud on the myriad of ways this punishes the players for something that isn't their fault.
Rothric got a lot of attention in round 2, quelled only by him and I believe one other blurting out "Guys, you could have done this already - what does this prove?" - The head scratching that came from this is what sells me on the possibly EAP / Sleepy / (? or Jaz or LD) situation. EAP seems a little sensitive to what I guess was a prior game feud ? and to me to express any sort of response is a tell in one way or another - either that she is clearly still very frustrated or is trying to address the issue in a passive way. I personally still find LD to be suspicious - I don't find Rothric or Potent to be high on my list.
So how am I suspicious?
I mostly agree with you and Potent about EAP and Sleepy.

The fact that the guess and whack aren't in kinda makes me think JR may have been inspector since obv Rummy would have to wait for him to possibly re-appear. And that would suck ass.

No she wouldn't, he is dead and if he were inspector his guess would be ignored.

You're correct. JR is dead & thus silenced.
And sadly now is Phi as well.
He was just tryna go to work this morning, but he got distracted by a huge pair of b( )( )bs on the street, and as his gaze wandered....so did a car, from the middle of the street, fatally knocking him down and driving off before anyone had seen who was driving it.
