It isn't my absolute number one fave song of all time, but damn it is up there. Gah to play it on full volume while driving=the best.
I tear up more often than not when I listen to All My Friends. The song gives me this huge surge of like, "life needs to be lived to the fucking fullest" and rejuvenates me in this very particular way. I'm not sure why.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

He guys, remember when you listened to This is Happening for the first time, and you kept turning up Dance Yrself Clean over and over then blew out your eardrums at the 3 minute mark?
I was there the first time they ever played Dance Yrself Clean live. So that has a special place in my mind. But Us V Them is probably my favorite song of theirs.
I'm going to a couple shows at MSG next month, and the last time I was there was for LCD's last show. I don't think anything will be able to compare to that.

That MSG show was amazing. I also did two out of the four Terminal 5 shows that proceeded it. Susan Sarandon was standing near us for one of the T5 shows. One of my buddies was hitting on her so hard. It was too funny. God I miss this band. Also, Susan Sarandon.
Which MSG shows are you going to next month?

I did the final T5 show as well, skipped Bonnaroo that year to use my vacation days to go to NYC. Blur and Disclosure, fyi.
Susan Sarandon drank the ashes of Timothy Leary at Burning Man this year, so she's okay by me.

Front row at their Bonnaroo show. weird experience of Bassnecter>LCD. Still happy I got to see them while they're around since they're never ever coming back ever.

Nice, I thought so. I will be there for those two shows as well. If enough people are going we should all meet up beforehand or after!

I seriously doubt anyone looking at this thread hasn't seen "Shut Up And Play The Hits" but if you haven't you need to get on that shit. I was late and finally watched it when it hit Netflix within the past year or so, its a really beautiful doc/live performance movie.
I can tell this thread is going to get weird. Let me wrap all this up:
The order of albums is
Sound of Silver This is Happening S/T
If you add 45:33, it goes between This Is Happening and S/T but this is technically an EP and I take off points because they couldn't even get it to end at 45:33.
The order of live albums is
The Long Goodbye London Sessions
While the flow of London Sessions is great, Long Goodbye has it all and includes all of 45:33 (few points off because on record you can't listen to it all together without skipping a song).
Shut Up and Play the Hits is one of the best music docs ever. Points off for a bit too much of Klosterman and his punchable face.
The best way to listen to them is live. Absent that, then it's vinyl. Duh.
They do not fit nicely into any named genre.
They are a "jam" band. They are NOT a "jam band"
They are a great get for Coachella
They would slay Hangout but only because it's on the beach, man.
Every time I see a LCD Soundsystem thread I have to google them just to make sure there isn't a reunion being planned or something. Every time I am disappoint.

If Bonnaroo gets an LCD Reunion, let's just go ahead and get 4 straight days of LCD and no other music because no one would care about seeing anyone else if that happens.
