Hey Everyone! Lets pump some life back into this thread! Troo- I got questions for you!! hehehe Will privately msg you this time! Hugs, Guy!! Ok we are staying in Murfreesboro again this coming year. But this time Troo, as you and Jizzo are well aware, we didn't make it to the meetup at the bar cuz we were the crazy Canadians who decided it was a good idea to drive all that way in one day........ NOTE TO SELF, not a good idea. This time we are leaving Tuesday, driving to Kentucky, then from Kentucky to Murfeesboro, probably there by 1-2pm. I plan on getting everyone together for sure! Lets have some fun Roo EVE!!
still looking to book a hotel. haven't decided on m-boro or m-ches to stay in. looks like the greenleaf hotel in m-chess is still open. is your hotel on the same exit as that bw3's?
The BW3 exit is Exit# 78. The nearby hotels will most likely be on Old Fort Pkwy, Thompson lane, Chaffin Place, or Armory Drive.
There are LOTS of restaurant ( and a lots of traffic)
There are a few new hotels that should be opening on Medical Center Pkwy (exit 76?) before Roo so check back if everything else gets sold out. There are tons of new restaurants there also and less traffic. It ties right into Thompson Lane
well troo, soul, i won't be meeting you guys for drinks on wednesday night. i am staying at the greenleafe inn in m-ches with some friends. but rest assured, i will be having beers at the same time as you! it'll just be a half hour down the road!

We should meet up at a different spot this year. B-dubs has open space and a good bar, but the service there sucks, and the last time I ate there I got food poisoning. Here are a few suggestions: Wall Street (on the square. Live music upstairs, full service bar downstairs) Bluesboro (on the square. More room than B-dubs, better atmosphere, cheaper drinks) Liquid Smoke (on the square. M'boro's hippest by far, French Quarter-style cigar and beer snob bar) Kirkenburt's (Cason Lane/Old Fort Pkwy. Family oriented, locally owned southern home cookin and moderate beer selection) Dirty Jim's (Gentleman Jim's on Greenland - dive/metal bar. Cheap ass drinks, good atmosphere if you like dive bars. Don't mouth off to anyone you don't know in here.) Fratty Jim's (Gentleman Jim's on East Main - a little friendlier, even if you have to listen to Dave Matthews and Toby Keith) Mellow Mushroom (S. Rutherford near campus - I don't need to explain this one, but if we got enough people together, we could sit in the bus inside the restaurant)

I personally think we should keep it close to the Interstate so out-of-towners can find it and get back to their hotel easily. The bars on the Square would probably be good.
Anyway, I'm up for whatever the majority decides. Maybe we can get a good turnout this year. Maybe even a caravan down to Roo.

I just started a Hotel 2008 thread... anyway had to look HARD.. finally Price line $30 for Knights inn...prolly ghetto fab but really just need a pillow for my head. SUPER EXCITED to grab a few drinks with some 'roo ERS... I will be checking this thread A LOT
im in nashville, but potentially will not be able to sleep wednesday night from excitement, so i think getting drunk with some fellow inforoo-ers could be just what i will need. i am 80%in at this point
Uberposh Knights Inn! hehehe you guys all so funny!
Hubby and I just booked at the Econolodge! Almost as uberposh as the Knights Inn! Yay!!!
Ok well this year I won't miss the meet up because I'm leaving two days early!
Troo-Sorry I missed the party lastyear but I'm in early this year and just booked my hotel room. As you are such a good soul, I will once again ask for the directions to the WAlmart!
YaY! I can't wait! I'm so excited and this year if you are wanting to go out for wings and beer, I'm there. This time we are playing it smart and leaving Tuesday instead of driving all that way on the Wednesday. WE plan on being in your next of the woods by 7pm.
We are at 110 North Thompson Lane at the Econolodge.
Okay all you people staying in Murfreeesboro and residents. Where should we meet up Wednesday night? Start throwing out ideas. We have 4 weeks from tomorrow.
I'll throw out BW3 as it is close to the Interstate. Where else?
Bluesboro in a few miles in town, on the Square and is nicer, if people want to drive. Never had the food though.
Does that BW3 have an outdoor patio!?? I love outdoor patios! BTW Troo! I loved M'boro lastyear when I was there. The people were so nice to me! Just me and hubby this year though! Wherever you say to meet is good for me, I'll send you my cell phone number when we get closer or do you ahve it already?
Thanks for the updated map! I so appreciate it.
Lastyear out of Nashville we took this side road (number 41) to get to M'boro, I guess we are best to get back on the 24 from the ringroad (155) around Nashville ? What do you think?
