I too scored tickets for the Nashville show. It took me 40 minutes of constant clicking, and I only ended up with upper level seats, but I am beyond ecstatic.
It's always sickening to see what the scalpers do with their tickets (GA Bridgestone tickets are now listed for $495 on Stubhub)
Whew, Monie and I got tickets. What an ordeal though. Tickets showed sold out for a set of 2 instantly. Finally were able to pull 2 together, but upper deck seats. Ended up sitting separate, but got some decent seats. Was nerve wracking though!
And the fucking robot verification bullshit. Fought for a while, but finally got through!

Scored center floor (Section 2) for Nashville! Been waiting my entire life for this!
You haven't seen Tool before? That's kinda surprising to me. Jealous of your seats obviously.
Nope! I had tickets to see them back in 2002 in Knoxville when I was 17, but I got busted by the police for underage drinking the night before the show and my mom had to come pick me up in the middle of the night. She took my Tool ticket as punishment.

Worst punishment ever. Your mom is mean.
Oh and I am so jealous of everyone that got tickets and have a show within driving distance from them. Nearest show is a Monday and a 6.5 hr drive. No tool for me.

Wow... damn... I'm glad this worked out for me. It was busy at work and they allowed me 15 min to get the tix. I go in the waiting room around 9:45. Once 10:00 hit it was a 15 min wait and I ended up with lower bowl tickets, center, row 4. I guess I really lucked out. I'm hearing nothing but horror stories from everyone else.
They're going to add more dates, before announcing a second leg of the tour. That 3Teeth band said there was a second leg on their fubu.
They added a second San Diego show already, I know that much.
Mississippi is on a Tuesday and Nashville is on Saturday so they will obv be adding a date in between, which could be NOLA on a Thurs or Fri or Birmingham on Thurs or Fri or just a second Nashville show on Friday.
I scored 4 seats in like 303 row Q. Everyone else in my crew couldn't pull anything so I was glad to pull those, definitely.
ugh, yea they are. I woke up late and started trying around 30 mins late. Obviously didn't get tickets. That venue is tiny though, 6,250 capacity compared to 18k in San Antonio. I'll be keeping my eye on stubhub closer to the date.
My biggest gripe with Axs was that it had me in a waiting room, showing tickets available in certain sections, took me out of the waiting room still showing tickets for like 10 mins but said every section had no seats available when I'd click them. Then it just randomly refreshed itself, put me back in a waiting room then refreshed again and said it was sold out. I was very, very annoyed.

Ya, it's going to be very interesting to see what the tour schedule looks like for both Tool and Puscifer. I expected Puscifer to announce another leg of the Money Shot tour, but I guess that will be coming after this leg of the Tool tour, and most likely the soon to be announced second leg of the Tool tour as well.
If that's the case, I wouldn't be completely shocked to see Puscifer on the Bonnaroo lineup again. Would rather have Tool without question, but that's much more unlikely.
Tool JUST announced a New Orleans show at the Smoothie King Center on January 31.
That's really awesome! Read this on the Tool Reddit page, so not exactly sure how accurate it is. But given the difficulties everyone has had, I think it would be worth a shot.
"Allow me to share some tips that will help you in acquiring concert tickets.
Let's begin by understanding how tickets are distributed. An event is hosted by a promoter who receive blocks of tickets, these are then sold through a distributor (i.e. Ticketmaster) who typically offers bulk sale of tickets through a broker (this may be a reselling agency). You can see how there are many areas in this mechanism that can make it difficult for you to acquire tickets. For example, the promoter may withhold seats, the broker may buy up all the good stuff etc. Time and time again, you end up being the sucker who tries to buy online and you realize that even though you hit F5 right as the seats went on sale, you didn't get anything. I assume the resellers have sophisticated systems to buy up all the online stock as soon as they go on sale.
Allow me to share a trick that works almost every time. The distributors typically allow for certain blocks of seats to be sold only at brick and mortar locations. These are not able to be purchased online until sufficient time has passed after the initial offering. You can find these locations by searching "Ticketmaster outlet" or something similar. In my area, most Fiesta food marts offer a service for purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster at their brick and mortar location. We also have shows that go through "LiveNation", these are all sold through Randall's food stores. Given this information, here is how you the singular rabid fanatic can get the best odds at purchasing the best seats at face value.
Find a brick an mortar location that offers sales through the show's distributor (the more low traffic and less populated the area the better) Become friends with the people at the counter and let them know when the tickets go on sale and what exactly you are looking for. This way they can queue it up on their internal system. (At Randall's I am often given the opportunity to operate and refresh the machine myself) BUY IN PAIRS, I can't stress this enough, but when blocks of tickets are released, they are often in pairs, if you attempt to buy over that limit you will be denied. Bring multiple credit cards if you need multiple tickets as some places will limit the purchases on cards (this is not the case with Ticketmaster at this time). Have a seat map handy so you know exactly what to look for It doesn't hurt to have the ticket sale site queued up on your phone (When purchasing tickets for Tool in San Antonio, I had it refreshed on my phone right when they went on sale and was given nothing, yet I was purchasing pairs to my hearts content up until 8 minutes after tickets were on sale at the brick and mortar Fiesta Mart)
tl;dr If looking for good seats at face value, do research, know where your desired seats are, and buy from brick and mortar locations in a lesser populated area of town in PAIRS. Queue up online sales on your phone while waiting in line. Notice how online sales vanish while you are still able to purchase at physical location. Online is for suckers!"
From the same person, in response to a question:
"You got it! The trick is to buy in person and know at least the section you are interested in. With regards to queue, it seems as though they have a seperate inventory or faster access. It's completely different than the online experience where you click "Best Available" and get a random seat. The machines at Fiesta literally show the available blocks and they disappear as they are sold. So, if you know the section, they can hone on that and give you much better odds than the limited online inventory and random selection that you get through the website. Been doing this for years and have scored floor + stage center aisle for Roger Waters, multiple floor seats for Tool, floor for Muse, stage center aisle for Fleetwood Mac. Think about it, when you go to the website you are basically saying, hey I'm here to buy whatever you are willing to give me, there is no choice. It sucks, it always has sucked, and it always will suck. I could have bought more after 11:08, but I got what I needed and left."
So I'll definitely give this a try next time, but just wanted to pass the info a long to you. Good luck, you're probably going to need it!
