I'm on the record saying if they get Arcade Fire and they close it down on Sunday unopposed, I honestly don't care who the other 2 headliners are. They can't be much worse than this year's Weeknd/Calvin combo and there's always the tent which could redeem a night completely like they did this year with Foals.
That would get it back on the right track for sure.
One thing we'll need to look at is when Voodoo announces their lineup, because the last 2 years, a Voodoo headliner from the year before plays Hangout the next year (2015 - Foo Fighters, 2016 - Flo).
Could Kendrick play Voodoo you think? Mumford doesn't make a lot of sense but if Kendrick is at ACL and Voodoo, I could see him hitting up the Lolla's overseas, Coachella and Hangout next year.

I don't see why not. He's obviously popular enough.

He could but he's playing Essence in July. That doesn't preclude him from playing Voodoo, which I don't think he ever has. But that's under 4 months and makes it unlikely. He did the Civic last October and did Groove Sessions. He also did Essence last year I think (?????) so maybe. It doesn't preclude a Hangout appearance either.
FYI Calvin Harris already booked as a make up set.
Calvin Harris - Sam Smith - Lupe Fiasco
haha, gold. I'll never forget my disappointment in walking up to the Tent seeing Lupe was being replaced, then an hour later, walking the beach from Spoon to halfway through Umphrey's set, hearing that Modest Mouse-sampled chorus for "Show Goes On", then running when hearing Lupe's voice. Glad I got to catch that.
Red Hot Chili Peppers | Kendrick Lamar | Calvin Harris | Lana del Rey

That Umph/Lupe moment is one of my Hangout highlights. I still regularly watch it on YouTube.
Avett Brothers have to be a good possibility right? I mean they have played three times and are in the Moon Taxi/Flaming lips Hangout favorites type category and they will have new music out next month they will be touring on.

Mine as well...I still tell that story to anyone who will listen...we didn't even plan on going to see Umph and just happened to go because some friends we ran into wanted to go....musical karma indeed!

Is Lupe even still active? I thought I remembered reading somewhere he was going to retire after Tetsuo and Youth (which wasn't perfect but had some really stellar moments, pretty underrated imo)

Saw him live in February, he was ranting about how he's going to release three albums this year then retire. Now it's two, and his last one is a sequel to "The Cool", his second album, then he's done. That guy has been saying he was going to retire since "The Cool" in 2008, even IN the album saying on the last track that he had one last record called "L.U.P.End". I'll believe he's done when it happens.
