I'm sure the thread will be split on that replacement but easy upgrade for my tastes. Even with their newer stuff being subpar.
Edit: probably wrong here but I wonder if GV was in the works to book them for HOF 2018. They have that new album coming out, already have the history with them, maybe they jus got the bump given that they were free.
Frank Ocean is the objectively better get for a festival but it comes down to personal taste (I would prefer phoenix.) Solid act to get as the replacement on short notice. I can't wait to see them this Sunday at SK.
I'm kind of bummed to be honest. I like Phoenix more than Frank but I'm going to Shaky Knees as well so I'll be seeing them on Sunday. With Frank's replacement I was hoping for someone I had never seen before but ah well it's still going to be a great time!

But after hearing Lisztomania or however you spell it for the 17,000,000,000 time I can't say that I care about them that much. I actually hate that song with a passion. Wasn't super into Frank either so it's a wash for me.
Shakey Knees pepole kindly report back if it's worth going I'd you're not really a fan. Also the set time of that Lisztomania would also be helpful so I can use that for my Porto run.
Inforoo has the best insider sources. No one has inside sources like inforoo. They're trusted widely and bigly. No one knew putting together a schedule would be so complicated. We have teams of the best people in time and schedules working around the clock trying to figure out a schedule. When the schedule comes out it will be the best schedule anyone has ever seen. With all due apologies to katyperryofficial, and him alone, this is fucking night and day better. I've seen Phoenix. And I usually rep for my city, but Frank Ocean besides having a good voice is weaker than a wet paper towel. "But esteban, it was such a good and exclusive 'get'". No. It was another weak ass pop act. Frank is a 0 on my want to ever see unless I'm forced into watching in hell vs a solid 7 or 8 good poppier than I normally listen to French band.
Oh and Krisp, especial mention for you. You are to Hangout Fest what Donald Trump is to Russia per Stephen Colbert. The difference is I like you.

I'm probably biased because Frank was the absolute #1 reason for me going to Hangout, but I'm very disappointed. The replacement maybe a good one, but not to appease Frank's fanbase (hence the tweets and Instagram comments). I know it's an unpopular opinion, but while Phoenix will probably to spectacular (I am currently listening to them to get myself familiar), Hangout did an awful job at even trying to appeal to Frank's fanbase. I don't feel bad at all for the hate their getting, they did this to themselves by lacking communication and understanding.

Sooooo Dillon Francis is gonna be jammed packed if he is indeed closing the Boom Boom Tent. Have to imagine by the Instagram comments and peoples reactions against Phoenix. It's like 5 to 1 negative.

When getting a headliner replacement it isn't always easy to get a similar artist last minute. I'm sure they would have loved to have gotten Kendrick Lamar or something, but these things are more complicated than they seem.

Frank is also very experimental. Plus I connect to his music on a real emotional level. Phoenix to me is literally just fun pop music. I mean maybe some of you guys don't like his music or don't think he should be a headliner, but the dude isn't a hack. There's a huge difference between someone like Frank Ocean and someone like The Weeknd.
