If you are power walking at Hangout you are going to be seriously out of place. It is ok to be chill here. In addition, you are going to run over a lot of walking stoned.
Ok, gave Phoenix a listen. IMHO...not rock. Pop rock at best. But hey, I was a big fan of The Cars and Cheap Trick so there you go. Another band for 21 year old sorority girls. The music fest of TAB, Government Mule, SCI, WSP, Foos, and Tom Petty has put on a skirt and silly glasses. Thankful a handful of bands this year got some spit and vinegar in their music. Then there is that tropical experience and opportunity to catch up with friends. Throw in the VIP and Inforoo pre-party this year and I'm good.
sorry Bob but i dont think Phoenix falls into the 'another band for young girls" category. No denying its pop-rock but they are pretty good musicians.
Didn't say they weren't great musicians, just the style. I'm a southern rock dude. Just different. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Like I said, I enjoyed The Cars and they were glamour boy kinda sound too.
