New Lotus album is absolute perfection. I can't say that I liked every song on an album in a very long timd but this thing is a dance funk frenzy from start to finish. The variety of vocals really makes it flourish.
Edit: Sneak peak of my left foot y'all.
That's high praise cmack!...you're on the line for this one.
Short of me being allowed to curate the lineup, I don't think anything will ever get me back to the farm in June, but only 45k this year is pretty surprising.
solidrock Was this meant for a Roo thread? I mean....there we're plenty of animals on the beach
I heard this on the radio on my way to the beach the other day. I would love to see these guys at Hangout on Sunday afternoon.
Didn't they just play last year though? I'm sure that was a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Edit to say that it was Friday during the great run of Dirty Heads, Break Science, Umphrey's, Gramatik, Galactic with Macy Gray, Jack U and Foo Fighters. There were no possible schedule combinations in 2016 that could rival that even though it was not even the best day of the 2015 festival.
From the Top 1 [tm] Hangout set of all times which of course no one will agree with but most who know would at least put it Top 5.
Dark as roses and fine as sand. I feel your healing and your sting again. Hear you laughing and my soul is saved. On forgotten graves you cry. Crawl like ivy up my spine, through my nerves and into my eyes. Cuts like anguish your sad recollections of better days gone by. But it's alright when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down, oh it's alright. When you find your way and you see it disappear oh it's alright. Though your garden's grey and and I know all your graces someday will flower, oh, in a sweet sunshower.
i like a lot of DH songs and it would have been awesome to see them on the beach 2 years ago but there was no way i was missing the Win Butler DJ set.
Wasn't that at the restaurant stage? I think golden chords, my son and I had a table seat, cold beers, and amazing nachos to watch that mid day show. It was like a parade in a boom box.
Hangout's been on my mind a lot lately. Might go ahead and pay for a condo next year, worst case scenario I cancel it and get my money back if the lineup blows or I can't make it.
I'm pretty much locked in on the west side. A lot of people here were really impressed with Sheryl Crow doing Nashville's 4th of July show. I didn't get to go. I think she would be a good pop choice. Maybe not a prime headliner, but a second liner. Trying to remember when first tix after alumni go on sale and how much more than alumni they were. Good chance my son will go. I may have an extra room.
If their lineup comes out in November again, you gotta figure it'd be mostly ready to go by September/October. Only a couple months when you think about it. I already committed to my first Roo next year just because of the cost factor and my group had a blast this past year despite the poor undercard, but I'd love Hangout to shock me and make me second guess it.
id love Hangout to drop a lineup that will make me tell my friend i have no choice but to skip your wedding. I put the chances of that happening at 0.000001%
