I would definitely pick Anderson over the other two. I'd like to see some returns next year like Old Crow Medicine Show, Amos Lee, Red hot Chili Peppers, Ray LaMontagne, Delta Rae, Gary Clark Jr, others?
Still hoping for Tedeschi Trucks Band. Still want to see Vintage Trouble. Both of them would be a good fit for Hangout. If John Mayer is moving on from Dead and Company, I'd like to see his Where The Light Is show that he gave in LA.
I feel like it's a good mix. Some repeats, some bands that haven't played yet (though have played everywhere else), some rock, some edm, some rap, and overall a lot of mainstream names. Idk if Hangout could afford it/book it but It would probably get me there.
I got a little loose last Friday and booked a flight to Vancouver for the following a.m. to see The Hip. They did 4 song segments from 5 different albums, then a 3 song and 2 song block from 2 more albums. ...it was a cool way to cover a portion of a giant catalog. ..they also changed the look of the show/stage 3 or 4 times and Gord changed his metallic suits as many times. He did have to use a teleprompter which he's never done before and his face shows some wear that it never has. People were tearing up at various points. I don't recall ever going to a show with that kind of energy, but it was a celebration i'm glad i was part of. I may still try to get to Kingston. ..we'll see.

So jealous. That is amazing.
Buffalo is simulcasting the final show in Larkin Square. Definitely going to make it out for that.
CHRIS STAPLETON | DJ SNAKE | YOUNG THE GIANT | SCHOOLBOY Q | BIG GIGANTIC
UMPHREY'S MCGEE | PORTER ROBINSON (LIVE) | BAND OF HORSES | AWOLNATION
KAMASI WASHINGTON | ANDERSON .PAAK | FRIGHTENED RABBIT | BOB MOSES
Only a few I wouldn't be too interested. Id still see 21P though unless Umph were in the tent versus. AF, A.Paak, Chance and Umph only real interesting things for me.

Oh, didn't know that...they're doing the same in Kingston and we were going to drive from Buffalo. ...staying local might be the better plan.
Maybe replace Chris Stapleton and add a few from this list... www.forfolkssake.com/. Mumford and Sons listed on here.
Nathaniel Ratliffe, OCMS, and others might be more appealing to Hangout regulars. I haven't heard most of these performers and plan on doing some research. Anybody heard any of these?
Definitely like a balanced group of genres and performers. Given it is a beach festival, folk performers who won't melt on a hot stage and bring a lot of energy preferred.
Checked out some of the top 2016 folk bands. Love this one Nigel Hall...reminded me of how much I enjoyed Dumpstaphunk, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Galactic with Macy Gray. The best is at the end of the video clip so don't stop early....
Sam Morrow reminds me of Nathaniel Ratliffe...good day time stage funky folk
Saved the best for last. Not folk, but over the top blues. The video isn't great quality or my internet connection needs and upgrade, but dang this band would kill it as a warm up for a closer on the main stage.
Going to see Journey and Dave Mason at Ascend in Nashville tonight. Hotter'n hades up here and flash flood watch. No problem. I've been to Hangout and Bonnaroo.
Went to DSO in Rochester last night and doing Robert Randolph tomorrow so sold my tickets for this. Needed a night at home. Let me know if it was as completely dead as most Artpark shows have been this year.

i know they dont tour much anymore and beth went solo/doing fashion shit but man would i love to catch these cats again in the boom boom tent @ HOF. so much fun at their roo 2010 set.
My son and I had a great time at the Journey concert last night. The new lead singer is not Steve Perry, but he is pretty dang good. I was really impressed with Neal Schon, dude can shred a guitar. Dave Mason was also really good. For three hours of music, very few can bring the hits like those performers. And the Ascend Amphitheater was a very good venue down on the river with a view of town. Can't wait to go back and see Amos Lee and Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors.
Hey you guys. Who wore it better? Axl Rose or the lady from The Goonies?
Matt texted me this last night as we finished our walk back to the hotel. My girlfriend and I laughed until we cried!
My review of GnR: Crappy nosebleed seats were crappy, but perfect for this show. People brought their 6 year-olds... Why??? Slash and Faxl still have it. Check that one off the bucket list.
