Gregg Allman has major health problems, so we've probably seen the last of him on the road. After last year, I won't even venture a guess on the headliners. It would be nice to have some other demographics included, but I think they've found their niche, so I have my doubts. 2016 was the most crowded that I've seen.
Gregg was released from the hospital in a day. Same issues he has had his entire life. I highly doubt he is done touring. However, he is also highly unlikely for this fest.
Alright, that's great news. I'd only seen where he'd cancelled dates citing 'major" health issues. I hope you're right about getting back on the road.
That lineup is half solid and half real blah but with that schedule, I'd be there. That Saturday run of Bloc Party--> Lotus--> The National--> Umphreys would be dabawm.
They gotta be able to do better than that. Friday would be a day at the beach and Florabama. Agree with the Umph on Surf...like that. Also like Stapleton and Mumford and Sons. Need Jack White or Someone that won't put us to sleep Friday night. Lana is not kick off material in my opinion. Metallica...yep! Aerosmith...yep!

I literally don't know where to start with this Bob... Umph isn't on Surf, they're closing the tent like they were supposed to in '15, against Lana which is perfect. "Lana is not kickoff" what does this mean? She's not kicking anything off, she's Saturday and she has a great option opposing her. I did that purposely because I want no part of seeing her either so 2 hrs of Umph works out amazing, especially because they're completely diff demos. I could see where you'd want no part of Friday though with the hip-hop but Arcade Fire would still be worth checking out for you. Nothing wrong with chilling by the beach all day and just strolling in for that show. I know you say "they gotta be able to do better than that" but "that" would move a ton of tickets.
A lot of it would be repeats for me at this point but I think that may be inevitable. Most of the repeats are favorites so this would put HoF back into consideration.

Agreed on both. Hangout seems to do this though where they catch bands on the end of their touring cycles so you'll get bands a year after everyone else has seen them (walk the moon, alabama shakes, florence, RTJ are good examples from last year).

Clarification: I meant personal repeats although I agree with that perception too. Speaking of repeats, if we are bringing AF you might as well bring Prez Hall and for fun, let's throw a DJ Windows 98 on Saturday or a slot in the Pre Party. This is probably the best mock-up we'll get no where near. I think M83 may not be around too much next year either. Exchange wit Incubus
This would be better than I am expecting. Umph and Lotus are always great for me. Umph as a tent closer would be amazing. Their late night set light show at Peach inside the pavilion was nuts. I have wanted to check out the National and have not seen them. Arcade Fire is a draw. Mumford, while a little lame, is as good of a lame Hangout type headliner you can get.
Yeah definite disclaimer: I dont expect it to work out this nicely but I do feel like thse top 2 lines are def reasonable/affordable for Hangout. If we could get some possible scoops that'd help but I can't imagine those have been communicated yet. If we stay on the same schedule as last year, you'd think the intiial lineup would be finalized by October.
This is what happens when you use a cell phone, multi-task, watch flood stories on weather channel, and read proposed Hangout lineups at the same time. I fugged that up. My bad Zaitch . I am not a Lana fan, but definitely like Umph. Is it possible Umph could close Surf at sunset vs a hot and crowded tent? Sunday is near perfect. Will need to get a move on from Stapleton to Ratliffe and then to Mumph. Given me seeing the light for Saturday night, I am willing to give Arcade Fire a shot. Again, I was not paying attention.
@goldenchords, more of a surrender regards my support of the proposed lineup. Anyone on here who is familiar with my taste in music would know I enjoy 1) folk or anything played on a six string acoustic, 2) classic rock, 3) blues aka Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jemi Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, and Tedeschi-Trucks Band who I really want to see at Hangout. I am bummed out that Hangout and most music for the younger crowd sounds like either Japanese Saturday morning cartoon theme songs or in your face nasty expletives. Waiting for The Wook to coin that phrase. I want more Jamell Richardson, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Tom Petty. Or KOL, Jack White, DMB, and RHCP. I would take Coldplay as a headliner over Lana Del Ray or Arcade Fire. But I do like Umphreys McGee and I would enjoy Mumford and Sons. I enjoyed the bands we watched at Roo together. How is that old dude body of yours holding up? After my latest deck repair, I am headed to the chiropractor. Cheers my friend!
I think we'll def get Lana or Lorde (I'd much rather Lorde). Both fit perfectly. Green Day would make sense and I've never seen them before. I would def not take them over AF though. Them and Mumford are both "sure I'll see them acts" so I'd be cool with them. I'm still interested to see if we have the top 6 crossover with ACL that we've had the last couple of years. Kygo feels like a lock with the beach vibe, but I wanna see if we get Kendrick or Mumford. Both would make sense.
I kinda wish one of the vets with scoops would just pop in and at least put down any options we've thrown out there that have zero shot. I feel like we've tried being pretty realistic with our mocks.

Like him or not you have to admit going by "Marshmello" was genius. Nobody gave a fuck about him as dotcom. He adds a white outfit and a helmet and now he is a top line EDM act.

Understood as well. But it' seems like kind of a ripoff of Deadmau5 in a lot of ways. Maybe that was the point? I don't know. What I do know is gimmicks like the getup do nothing for me and make it less likely I would see a DJ using them. I understand that sometimes people will mask (Slipknot, Mudvayne, Ghost, Peelanderz, etc. I don't mind it as much with bands I guess.

That's why I think it's hilarious and has to be an act ripping off multiple DJs including Deadmau5 and bassnectar. I don't think his music is bad but I've never seen his show.

I didn't really see his set, but at Moonrise his set was PACKED. Like the tent was so packed I couldn't even get close enough to really even get a good listen to it. It was ridiculous.
