Damn so sad to leave Jamaica today. really debating not doing VIP hangout next year so we can swing Jamaica for July summer 2017 since its roughly the same price for 2 VIP passes as it was for 7 days at an all inclusive in Ochoa rios. food was amazing like gormet level ish, people were friendly as fuk and the service was tops. With that said hangout has to really impress me now in order for me to pull trigger on VIP passes knowing what Jamaica offers. Might be back in the GA next year unless that lineup is balls to the wall.
Looks like my son is out. Soooo, better be a pretty good, better than 2016, lineup or I may head to Jamaica to mon. RHCP, Lumineers, and Kygo, best three out of seven, is not moving me.

i thought we would get Two Door last year while they were touring but I think Hangout will get some of the leftovers from Firefly last year that would have made sense like Two Door, Nathaniel Rateliff. Trombone Shorty, etc

This. Completely agree. I could see Hangout getting 1975, CHVRCHES, Two Door, all those. That being said I would take acts like Two Door, CHVRCHES, and Trombone Shorty over Walk The Moon, Panic, and The Neighbourhood all day.
Yeah...I can see my son and I spending more time and money in Nashville. Great food, venues, artists, more my taste in music, less sun issues. If I want to get out on the water, I have a boat on the lake. I am paying for the convertible, the beach, passing out in the sun, not using lotion. I would love one last Hangout festival loaded with rock, jams, and folky funky stuff but, afraid it has gone Coachella light and east. Also sounds the Hangout Purple House crew is dropping out. Would not be the same without you. Especially with son dropping out on me.

I thought chickinchickasaw had just moved to a large condo on the beach instead of the usual house but was still a definite to be there.
Shell is all about one last Hangout but I can literally do ten fests for the price we'd pay so I will say we are very lineup dependent still. I love my hippy fests and having gone to Catskill Chill last weekend those type of things is where my heart lies.
I was mapping out funds and fests for next year today at work and the Hangout priority has dropped.

Good new is if they run info release like last year then we'll know the lineup before thanksgiving and can assume it'll be mostly complete. Less a few decent acts for pre party. Cant believe it's here so soon.
made a last min call to go see Andy Frasco and the UN at a small venue in the city and man that was a great decision. Couldn't have been more than 30 people there but it was a partyyy. Even took random crowd requests and played them on the spot, it was great. The brass guys spent a few songs just playing and dancing in the crowd, they would be an awesome early BMI beach set. Oh yea they had a electric tuba player, yes you read that right.

No chance we're dropping out. We already have tickets and a place rented.
I purchased renters insurance. No ticket yet. Now that my son is in Nashville, I'm getting plenty of music. If Hangout lineup doesn't include better headliners, may have to do beach off season.
I tried tweeting them asking if it was November again but of course no response. They've been completely nonexistent on social media for months now. Hopefully November so if it's a dud I can move on and remove those dates from my vaca.

Ya this is what I was expecting. It's what moves the most tickets nowadays. There are always going to be more niche festivals I think you would enjoy more Bob but I think Hangout has cemented itself as a mainstream fest now and they're going to stick to a lineup that represents that. It's just a matter of which acts in those genres they decide to book that'll decide whether I attend.
although it feels like the trend of last years lineup will continue, that website doesnt know anything and is just using the description based on last years card.
