Does anyone happen to know the early bird and regular prices from last year, and whether or not this sold out? The conversation tonight really has me feeling like I'll be getting a ticket for this.
Early birds for GA this year were $232, funny cause I looked this up maybe 5 minutes ago myself
Also no I don't believe it sold out, and you could get tickets for less than face on craigslist and stubhub before the fest

sounds like BC is gonna be pretty slimey and not release the prices until the lineup and tickets simultaneously drop. they could charge $400 and people would impulsively do it if there's only a limited amount of early birds. so when they go into it committing to buying tickets the price wont matter to them.
Viceland TV was simulcasting a bunch of acts from last year's Gov Ball and I watched Miguel's set. Knew next to nothing going in, but was very impressed. Reminded me of Prince in his musical eclecticism and the prominence of electric guitar in his live show.
Then checked out a few studio tracks on YouTube and there was a lot less electric guitar in the mix.
He's exactly the sort of performer who I want to see on a festival lineup. Something I'll likely dig, but someone I might pass on when they headline locally, because I've already spent my leisure dollars on Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Elvis Costello, Dawes, etc. tickets.
based on the names you guys are throwing around (and how much i loved last year's lineup), this is on my radar. i also just realized my fiance has a long weekend from work around these dates, so it would actually be a possibility.
A couple things I noticed Everyone seems to have Sigur Ros a few lines down but they headlined primavera last year, perhaps they're a headliner? Also, travis scott seems to be doing the festival loop as well there's a chance we see him at boston calling as well
Here's are some "local band in an opening spot" predictions:
Pile -- NPR.org just did an article on their new album, and BC has booked Boston-based Exploding In Sound label bands before (Krill, Palehound).
EMS crew -- I caught a bunch of rappers from the Boston/Providence based EMS crew at the Boston Green Festival on City Hall Plaza last fall. Honestly, I liked it better than Run The Jewels at BC a couple of years ago, and I liked Run The Jewels. Everyone who went up had great flow and great lyrics. 5-10 rappers and they were all ready for prime-time.
Hallelujah The Hills -- The godfathers of smart, loud indie rock in Boston, they've been around for over a decade with a sound that's kind of a triangulation between the Pogues, Pavement, and Guided By Voices. More of a sentimental pick for me than anything else, if any local band deserves a moment on the big stage, it's HTH.

They're a fair amount bigger in Europe than in the States. They're billed 9th at Hangout this year, although I'm assuming they'll fit in better with the BC lineup than with Hangout's

ahhh.. suspected so but wasn't sure. pretty dope cause they're essentially another headliner
Do any of you know if Tune In is live for listening to the radio show where they raffle off tickets tomorrow? I will be trying to listen in and not sure if there is a better way to listen to the sports show to ensure its not lagged and I'm calling in well after they gave away the ticket.
I have the lineup and it makes Bonnaroo look like Primavera's best year ever.

Dang, part of me just wants to gulp strong coffee all night long and get this thing resolved before the end of a very long today.
The layers of mystery have entered LOST * X-Files * Twin Peaks * Mr. Robot territory. Are the people calling this the greatest lineup ever trolls? Are the people debunking them the actual trolls?
Twitter likes, Facebook clues, posts from people who may or may not work for:
a) Crash Line b) Boston Globe c) Vladimir Putin
But I've figured one thing out...I know who's closing out the festival on Sunday night.
