Rumored for Le Plur: Axwell/\Ingrosso, The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, Dj Snake, Kevin Gates
Hope the undercard is nice then..
Axwell/\Ingrosso - Saw em at Coachella.. As pop as EDM can get.. Not terrible, but not great at all
The Chainsmokers - Actually like them a bunch, just not sold on a headliner type spot
Porter Robinson - Yes Yes Yes Yes -- Seem him multiple times (next up at Electric Forest) and he's amazing
DJ Snake - This could be pretty good too
Kevin Gates - I guess
I'd be really surprised if Big G isnt there.
Agree on most, but I don't like Chainsmokers or Axwell/Ingrosso. That's 2/3 of Swedish House Mafia I think, but I'm not much of a fan. Kevin Gates would be fun. He played here on Saturday, and my daughter went but I didn't ask her about it yet. Big G is fine, Snake would be okay and Porter was good both times I saw him (Hangout 13 doing dub and then the Live show at Buku 15) with the slower bpm show with the excellent video production work). A mixed bag for sure if some of those pan out.

Agreed..
And yea, they are 2/3 of SHM, but i just wasnt impressed at all.. Steve Angello was the man in that relationship and it shows in his live acts
Not sure why I like the Chainsmokers; i guess its that New York song that i started listening too, but really not sure...
Just starting these talks though is getting me stupid excited for 6AM tomorrow morning..
Those rumored le plur acts was like a kick in the dick reminder on just how terrible all large festivals have become and that Voodoo is no different.
I don't ever go to the Le Plur stage, and the only act that I think is even half-way decent on that list is Porter Robinson, who I have seen. But once again, I don't ever go to the Le Plur stage so that doesn't really affect my Voodoo experience. But it is a reminder that Voodoo has disappointed me for years in a row before.
In Bloom Festival 3/18-3/19 Houston, Texas Rock Werchter Festival 7/5-7/8 - Werchter, Belgium Mad Cool Festival 7/12-7/14 - Madrid, Spain Austin City Limits 10/5-10/7 - Austin, Texas
Tool's website has them playing a show in Little Rock on Friday 10/28/16. That def paves the way for a Sat or Sun Voodoo slot.
gonna go ahead and assume this is the case:
October 22nd - Aftershock fest
October 24th - Salt Lake City, UT @ Maverik Center.
October 26th - Denver, CO @ Pepsi Center.
October 28th - Little Rock, AR @ Verizon Arena.
October 30th - Voodoo fest
You really think Tool would close Voodoo out? I mean, that would be a good strategy for moving tickets since Sunday is usually light. Prob safer to assume they're playing Saturday night. Less than a 7 hour drive.
LOL. Fuck them. Twice was enough. They sucked at Voodoo back in 11 or 12, and I didn't like them much at Hangout last year on Saturday. I'm okay with Diplo (though he is a dick), and I like Jillionaire and don't really have an issue with Walshey Fire, but I just don't see much of a point to Major Lazer. It was a big letdown coming off of Skrillex on the Beach at Hangout last year. Some people I know who also aren't fans said that the production on the main stage at Wakarusa was infinitely better than the Hangout show in the Boom Boom Tent, but I didn't go see it. I was at Savoy late night I think at that point.
Don't need 'em, but it would be great if they conflict with Tool and keep that segment of Tools on the other side.
I'd bank on Tool closing. Which kinda sucks because Imma have to kill a vacation day monday to spend closing third eye.
It's over at 9pm on Sunday so you can be in bed by midnight.
I hope the weather is good this year. 2016 has been an asshole so far for festivals.
I think that the rain fucking festivals started at the end of last year and Voodoo got caught up in that cycle. Hopefully that is it for Voodoo and flooding. Honestly, out of all the years I have gone that is only the second or third time I have ever been rained on at Voodoo. I know for sure I have been rained on twice but I can't remember if in the early days I did as well, I don't remember before 09 ever being rained on.
Sorry funny bans, I refer the soap on roapers to Duke and his friends. They will come out and pick you up at the park. I told them to look for the Inforoo flag. He heard you liked soap on a rope games with banjo pickers. I am assuming Sarge, Vieux, Postjack, and the others will want to play grease the pig with those boys. Enjoy.
