Tickets go on sale TOMORROW 12/16, and they said that the prices are "ALL IN" which should mean no fuck-you fees, which is awesome!
GA tix= $99 LOA VIP= $350
I will def be grabbing a GA for $99 if there are no fees as that is too good to pass up right now and I'd rather not have to deal with it next year. Voodoo will not be on Halloween next year (10/28,29,30) so I think it's safe to assume I'll be staying an extra day and going to NOLAWEEN PANIC on 10/31, and prob on 10/30 when I leave early because of a softdick'd headliner. (Please no Weaknd)
So.......who should we expect? I'll get the ball rollin'.

IRON MAIDEN / GUNS N' ROSES / COLDPLAY / DEADMAU5
It said the 18th on the site. Voodoo will be on my birthday next year, they better do right by me.
EDIT: @caddyshaq we should do the House of Shock again. That was so much fun.
Yeah, I just got to figure if I'm doing the $99 ALL IN or the $350 ALL IN. I'm not sure the $350 is meaningful or worth it for Voodoo, since I'm perfectly fine with GA. But I might want to try it this one year. 50/50

I will not do LOA again until they up the perks. There is only front row viewing and my friend said that they reduced the size again last year.
Yes, I am down for House of Shock again! That was such a good time. Who were your older friends wearing the Hangout gear? That lady was a lot of fun in line.
Felt bad for her since her man pussed out of going inside though. (looks around and hopes they don't post here)

There were some nice front row areas for VIP at the smaller stages, but you don't really need that when you can just walk up to the rail behind them anyway. Also, I could get 4 tickets for only $46 over the cost of the VIP and end up getting my money back pretty easy. Still, it might be nice. I'll decide tomorrow when I'm on line what I want to do. Voodoo is one of those fests that you really don't need VIP unlike Waka and Buku where the value makes them worthwhile. FWIW, just had some Galitoire's - got the Chicken Bon Femme. And no, it was not healthy.

Cheri and Jeff. I actually met them in a festival group I am part of on Facebook. We went to Jack White together last year. I fucking love them. Her "Hellllpppp!" was hilarious. She asked me afterwards how I don't get scared and just laugh. They are from Alabama but live in Pensacola now I think. They come to NOLA often as you can tell. She cracked me up the whole time we were in the House of Shock. I wish I could have recorded her screams. lol
Figured it's a good time to start a thread for next year as they just sent out the early bird email!

I haven't got the slightest idea. I am hoping Hulaween is the weekend after this year, because I would do Voodoo back to back with Hulaween if they decide to go the first weekend of November rather than the last weekend of October. Since they don't repeat headliners very often, I don't have much of an idea 11 months out. I would also think Jazzfest would more likely have Coldplay than Voodoo, though they do make sense. Guns is certainly in play. Neil Young will be on tour, but he just played in '12 so that's probably too soon. And since this doesn't fall on Halloween, I don't expect a crazy/evil set ala Slayer '14 or Ozzy+ '15. This is liable to be more standard.
Guns N' Roses (if they last that long) U2 Link'n Park/RHCP Imagine Dragons (who I completely don't hate as much as everyone else does, maybe after I see them live...)
EDM - Bassnectar returns, Big Gigantic, RL Grime
^^^^ Not saying I do or don't want any of these acts. It's just an early guess.
Got 2 GA's. There were no fees involved. It was straight $99.00 with no shipping costs for regular mail, no taxes, no fees, no nothing unless you wanted a laminate to go with your wristband, but it doesn't provide anything other than you get to wear it. I was thinking LOA, but I decided against it because like Vieux said, what's the point? If they had more front of stage room or if they gave you free beer or whatever, I can understand. But I can just walk up to the rail for most shows anyway if I want to.
So as of now, it's Buku, Euphoria, Jazz & Heritage Festival, Hangout and Voodoo. I will still want to do something over the summer, and in the off chance Waka is back this year, I'll for sure do that.
Yeah, free alcohol would make it a no brainer. As of now, parking is easy and it's not crowded so I can't go w/LOA just yet. No idea what my plans next year are yet other than this and Jazz Fest. And Yanni.

I hope that the pre-sale lasts until the end of the year again. SSI fucked my money up and I can't buy today. I already have my BUKU and Bonnaroo, I will get Voodoo once they straighten out my shit and if Jazz Fest keeps looking the way it is looking, I might have to invest in a brass pass. Thank god my budget for next year is already set in place.
Fucking assholes at Voodoo and Hulaween will apparently again conflict with one another in 2016. A poster on Reddit confirmed the dates of Hulaween to run 10-27 thru 10-30 whereas Voodoo goes from 10-28 to 10/30. I would go to Hulaween if it was any other weekend. Fuck em.

I just bought my Voodoo tickets for 2016. Gonna stuff the receipt in the stocking. Sorry about your fest conflicts...

Nice, and Merry Christmas to both of you.
Yeah, it sucks. I really, really liked that Hulaween lineup last year. But I can't not go to Voodoo. So I was really, really hoping that they'd go opposite weekends this year with Halloween falling on a Monday. But that's apparently not gonna happen.

I think that once it is established that a festival is the last weekend of a month, it doesn't matter if a holiday falls on it or not. Idk. I am with you, there is no way I could miss Voodoo. Especially since it will be on my actual birthday this coming year. I might dressup like a birthday cupcake. We will see.
Merry Christmas to you too and all my other fellow posters. Hopefully you are home with family and not stuck at work like I am.
Anyone know when the Voodoo lineup generally drops? This is my first year going. Also, any tips?
Lineup drops in June, tickets will be on sale for a discounted price before then ($125-$150 range). If you KNOW you are going for sure, buy the discounted price; tickets will be around $200+ after lineup drops and single days will be $99.
Look into Air B&Bs in the mid-city and treme area and the earlier the better, although you might want to wait until after Jazzfest.
