FYI, Voodoo just responded to someone's question about daily cubes being released. They said cubes will be released in a few weeks. Hopefully it is sooner.

Excision bass story: a friend of mine works at a local venue. When they booked Excision a few years ago they had to install a bunch of new speakers. When they were sound checking the new speakers in the empty venue the bass made her shit her pants.

y'all memberberry that voodoo a few years back at the old grounds when they had like seven portos on friday? i just started hopping the soundboard barricades and using that porto. eventually people just opened the soundboard barricades and started lining up.

I had LOA back then and never had any issues with the portos, thank god.
First year going to Voodoo and going with a group of 6, super excited to see NewOrleans too for the first time. Anyways I know the day by day was just released but any chance anyone knows when the schedule will be released or released around from previous years if it's around the same time or not. Worried about Cage and Tool conflicting and many more. Past schedules I've looked at it looks like a lot conflicts.

Thanks man! we plan on exploring New Orleans. I work at a crystal shop that plays Zydeco, New Orleans jazz and Blues and a bunch of other Putumayo CDs so I've always dream to visit and enjoy the culture. I figured cage and tool would be on the same stage. More worried about edm acts closing tents the same time as headliners are going on. Making me nervous but I know I'll have fun regardless. unfortunately it is generally the case that the biggest EDM name of the day will conflict with the main stage headliner of the day.
so it's a safe bet that the following will probably conflict:
The Weeknd / Porter Robinson
Tool / Die Antwoord OR Excision (I think it's possible Die Antwoord closes a non-EDM stage)
Arcade Fire / The Chainsmokers
Could be worse. I wouldn't mind seeing The Weeknd but will choose Porter. I'm going to see Tool no matter what. And The Chainsmokers are dirty brown water trash.

Do your thing IMHO and see what you want to see. None of anyone I ever go to a festival with, including my 3 kids, ever has a 100% same schedule. The only time it would matter would be front middle for a headliner. Otherwise you can get across the fest in like 5 or 6 minutes. Last year, setup was Main Stage (which only gets used later) on one side and then the EDM and other two stages on the opposite side of the festival sort of down a fence row from each other. But it's in the middle of City Park, so you just have to walk through fields and under oak trees to get to any other stage.
The girl I'm going to Voodoo with just told me she wants to see G-Eazy. Looks like I may be rolling solo after all. Puke.
This happened to me at coachella. I agreed to go to the second half after Sufjan. Right when we got there he brought out Lil Wayne though who did like four songs and then G Eazy played my friends two favorites to close. So in conclusion it could be worth it.
