It's not that hard, folks. He has a huge gap during the month of June, he's all-but-confirmed for Gov Ball, and he has no Tennessee dates during his spring U.S. tour. Do the math.
Oh, and by the way, I'd like to see both FJM and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Sue me.

Didn't realize he was rumored for governors ball. The gap could of been for either US fests or more Euro dates or Euro fests

Yeah, he was the first clue for the Gov Ball crossword puzzle if I recall correctly. That, combined with the gap between May and July Euro dates, makes me believe he'll be playing a few U.S. festivals in June, and I'd be completely shocked if Bonnaroo isn't one of those.

Yea. That would make sense. Haven't been checking governors ball till recently so I'm not up to date on the crossword puzzle. Would find it hard to believe he only comes over for governors ball. Would imagine Roo and a couple others are planned in June

I bought Fear Fun from the record store today and I forgot how much I love this album. He puts on such a good show, I'm hoping there aren't major conflicts with him because I'd love to see him again.
So, I'm considering getting tickets for FJM this tour. I saw him twice last year, but both were hourlong fest sets and I've never seen a full FJM show. Is it worth spending $35 to go see the full show, or should I just see him for a third time at Bonnaroo? Also, it's worth noting the venue I'd be seeing him at is completely seated.

also, inb4 'don't go see him at all'
Seeing a full show means you're gonna see all of the new album and most of his first album. And a Q&A before the encore with shizty questions like "you down to Netflix and chill later??" from lovely fans.
He's coming to Atlanta and I'm skipping out. Will catch him at Roo barring conflicts.

It's worth seeing the full show. First time I caught him was at Bonnaroo 2013 - never heard of him or his music but it was a highly recommended show from a few friends and it was excellent, one of those shows, an unforgettable highlight of my Bonnaroo 2013. Saw him again in 2014 at a solo show promoting Fear Fun which was great, he even acknowledged my request for the same verse he did at the end of Every Man Needs A Companion at Bonnaroo, at this show as well which was awesome. And then most recently in September of 2015, saw him promoting I Love You Honeybear. I am in the camp that likes Fear Fun better than I Love You Honeybear as well. His September show, while low on comedic banter, was great and it also made his second album all that much better once I got to hear it live. Bottom line, FJM puts on a good show every time and I wouldn't miss him if he comes around.

I'd see him, but I'm a big fan. The seated venue does ruin it a little bit, but hopefully people won't all be sitting down, and if they do hopefully he'll make fun of them. His sound and whole thing just works a lot better in a dark well-lit venue in my opinion

I think a seated venue could be nice for him. His shows are very theatrical all the way down to his monologues (rants) and every time I've seen him it hasn't been something to move around to.
Well, I guess it was all kind of a wash anyway since I just found out I'll be working the night of the show. Bummed I still haven't seen him do "I Went to the Store One Day", but I'll live.

That song's pretty beautiful live. I missed him when he was touring Fear Fun initially, but he did this little solo acoustic tour towards the end of the cycle where he was testing a lot of Honeybear material and that one blew me away. The one song I've yet to hear him play live is "Misty's Nightmares No. 1 & 2," which is one of my favorites. It's become my white whale, but hopefully that changes at his Boston show

Wooooo! He's comin!
Was kind of surprised to see all the hate in this thread, I've always thought his personality was pretty awesome/surprisingly earnest (interviews i've seen, etc, not when he talks at shows)
Am curious about an indoor show from the commenter above mentioning it being a better venue, caught him at ACL for a 2:30 Sat afternoon set and it was actually pretty perfect. Banged it home with Ideal Husband, crowd was really into it.
He's been saying he has the 3rd album written at least 6 months, but with the FF/ILYHB gap would be shocked if we heard anything more than a new song or two.
I find his studio stuff a bit boring, so I was going to skip him until I saw a live performance on tv. He is one of the most commanding performers I've seen. Is it a little, um put on? Sure. So is every other performance, ever. That's what musicians do for a living. I'd much rather see a performance like his than watch say, ALT J, who is boring as fuck.
All kidding aside, do you guys not like the dude's music or does the shtick take over and not allow you to like his music? I get it either way, just curious.
I loved how he stopped in the middle of bored in the USA to talk about the naked inflatable.
my friend was the one who grabbed it and held it up. Great set. Highlights for me were nothing good ever happens..., holy shit and i was really happy he played babylon.
