this set made my sunday 10x better for sure. i waited through cymande and kurt kile (both GREAT shows) and got second row... i touched him during i love you, honeybear while he was crowdsurfing on us. kinda bummed he didn't do nancy from now on, but the ideal husband and funtimes in babylon were highlights for me. his stage banter was expected, and still just as amusing.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
I somehow forgot how much I was originally anticipating this set, and then the excitement literally hit me right as the show was about to start. It was definitely a highlight of the weekend, and I was ecstatic that he played I'm Writing a Novel and Funtimes in Babylon. Other favorite moment was Nothing Good Ever Happens.

Funtimes, Thirsty Crow, & Hollywood Forever Cemetery were highlights for me as well! Really wanted to hear True Affection though, but it was still great.
It's a lot better than Real Love Baby. Kinda hope he takes it in a bolder direction with this album though
What would "bolder" be for you?
I'm not saying he needs to recreate Kid A and suddenly fall in love wit synths and drum machines (a la Radiohead, Sufjan, Bon Iver) but I think he is an incredibly talented songwriter and would like to see him venture more outside of his usual.
Why does Ryan Adams keep feuding with artists I like so much more than him? I feel like he just does this for the attention. At least FJM's thing is entirely being absurd for attention

Rumor is he's drinking again. If it's true I really hope he gets whatever help he needs
