Like Govball this was cancelled early. Right before Brandi Carlisle was to start they told us to go home. Oh well. The rest of the weekend was awesome.

kinda of disappointing we had to leave early. but at least we got some of the day in (unlike over at Gov Ball where they cancelled the full Sunday). We got really lucky with three full great days despite having rain predictions for basically all weekend. I popped over to the Mt. Jam FB page and WOW is there mad negativity over there about their decision to cancel. I like up in that area part time and those storms that roll through can be very severe - they made the right choice.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for Brandi on tour now!

Totally agree. It was a bummer, but it was the right decision. We bolted around noon after seeing the forecast and knowing I had a 6 hour drive ahead. Didn't want to do that at night in pouring rain. It was a good decision. People need to chill...I can't believe people were upset that the Avetts put on a show for people huddled in the Hall seeking refuge from the storm...

They did some acoustic performance for Radio Woodstock who was setup in the lodge upstairs on the loft -- so at best people in the lodge could hear it but I don't think they could see it. Unless they did the radio set AND another. But I do not think that was the case. They were already scheduled to do an acoustic set for the radio.

I mean I wasn't there so I could totally be misinformed. They could have turned it into something more but from what i heard and saw on radio woodstock it was mostly for the radio. The loft is just so big in the lodge that you can hear whatever is really happening up there!
but either way - another one in the books! looking forward to the rest of the summer festivals and hoping for good weather!!
