This was my 5th Osheaga - while it has gotten more crowded, the promoters do a great job fixing issues during the fest. However, the water stations went backwards this year (the past two years they've had higher pressure filling stations). That was a bit of a fail. I feel that the artists always have a great time, and the crowds are super receptive. I have heard "this is our favorite/best fest" from acts many times, and have seen how overwhelmed artists are by the reception they get. Montreal is so much fun, and the venue is beautiful. I worry about the expansion to 60k... (they are planning to revamp the main stage area to more of an amphitheater). We bike, but it seems the metro wait was better on friday and sunday (beware Saturday - that international fireworks comp (they do fireworks every sat, Osh is always the final) creates way more traffic - and, btw, it was the US this year, and it was pretty weak... I want to see Japan next year!) Overall - the line up this year was solid, and we saw a bunch of great shows. Plus, do you get better fest weather than that?
Frankly, it worries me. Another 15k will change the vibe and the flow. I am still plannng on going next year (already booked a hotel) and I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah but it still felt overcrowded at times. The big issue is that while there are two entrances to the park, everybody picks the entrance closest to the metro and then hangs around the main stage areas without necessarily venturing into the other sections. The Verte stage area with the big water fountain seemed like it wasn't attracting the same types of crowds during the day.

Yeah, so. I'm still not back to normal here. But here's my AGAAA bits and pieces.
This fest is supper hard for me to catch a bunch of sets. It's the nearest major music festival to my home province, and it draws a RIDICULOUS amount of people from around my parts. It's constantly bumping into people you know or old friends. It's like a god damn high school reunion party! Super sad I didn't get to meet-up with anyone from here. Although, I did have a super joyful moment bumping into T and his group while I was on my at to pee in a bush...
I didn't to to catch all the sets I wanted but that always happens to me here. The group I was with was equivalent to herding cats ! Friday was Wolf Parade which was the only set that I was relatively near a stage. I watched Cypress Hill, Half Moon Run, Lumineers and RHCP from the hill mostly which i've never really done before. It was enjoyable I must say! RHCP were awesome and I danced real hard to Look Around, By the Way.
Saturday was hanging out towards the back of the main stages again. I hope some of you guys got to go under our streamer limbo line in from of the Virgin stage! Always a silly time. Ducked out before Lana ended, which was a bummer but my group was wiped. Gotta go with the flow sometimes. It was nice to beat all the foot traffic on the way out.
Sunday I was nearly dead. But I managed to pull some of my friends halfway up towards Radiohead. I hadn't been that excited for a set in such a long time.. That was everything I was hoping it to be. Couldn't take my eyes off the stage the entire time! Can't wait to see them again!
top 5 Sets: Radiohead Last Shadow Puppets Leon Bridges The Arcs Lumineers

that was you?! i got bloody ankles going under the streamers while a woman repeatedly pushed a wheelchair into the back of my legs!

Yeah man! Hope it was relatively enjoyable for you! Anytime you saw streamers getting thrown overhead. That was me and my friends

Anybody have/come across a video of Grimes throwing up on stage behind her equipment?
I thought her show was going to be disappointing after the first song when it became clear that the daylight was working against the production, but Grimes' attitude and perseverance while being sick AF made all the difference.

The second half was but the mixing for her song Venus Fly was bad. Feel like they fixed it towards the end
bringing home a pile of st. viateur bagels was a great idea. i remembered they were in the freezer this morning and made delicious sandwiches. the rosemary is too good.

Saw the first 20 minutes of Mura Masa. The live vocalists/dancers made them stand out from the other acts on the Picnic Elektronik stage. Would have enjoyed them more had I known their songs ahead of time.
Did anyone here catch Mura Masa? He/she/they were the one thing I was angry Lolla didn't get that Oshe did. How was it?
Wish I had. He was on at the same time as Best Coast unfortunately. Def gotta check him out next opportunity.
Not a Todd Terje, Wolfparade, or Kaytranada fan?
I know you guys will jump at me for this and they are names that stick out to me on lineups but I haven't listened to any. I just looked at the clashfinder and out of Terje, Lana, and Future I would have picked Terje solely on name recognition. Any idea on where to start on these. I'm willing to bet I'll like them.

Definitely one of the surprises for me of the weekend. He was pretty good. The run of him -> Kaytranada -> TT was very fun. Wish I didnt show up to his set late
