More people need to be talking about this. I know Wayhome will be announcing shortly, and I suppose things will heat up after that lineup drops.
Does anyone have a clue who our other two headliners are next to Radiohead? Or any undercard for that matter?
I would love for them to get Air, if there was any chance they could even make it to Canada.
Disclosure and Bloc Party both announced N. American tours with no Chicago or Montreal dates, so safe to say they'll both be at Lolla/Osheaga. Wolf Parade is a good bet bc hometown. Foals have a Lolla/Osheaga sized gap in their tour. Death Cab have a Montreal date in March, but Osheaga could announce after.
The Strokes seem to pop up when you least expect them, they could really be at any of Wayhome/Lolla/Osheaga/Outside Lands. Alex of CoS said on Reddit that he heard Kayne will be at a Canadian festival that's not Wayhome, but idk if Radiohead and Kayne are in the budget, so maybe Pemberton. We know LCD will be at Panorama and Lolla, but I doubt it's in the budget for Radiohead and LCD, and they probably wouldn't share two giant names with Lolla. This fest hasn't been Killers-ed since 2008, so that's always on the table.
It looks like historically, most headliners are given an hour and a half to play. Has their ever been a case where a headliner is given more than an hour and a half to play (i.e. two hour set or longer)?
I'm choosing between this and Lolla, with Radiohead headlining and all. Length of their set may be the deciding factor between the two - I'd likely go for Lolla if they get a 2 hour 15 minute set (similar to what McCartney got last year) than if they only get an hour and a half at Osheaga.

I could see the top line being like this
Radiohead-LCD-Macklemore-Disclosure
We can't really rule out foals, but I'm not counting on them because they are in Chile the 25th, and Peru the 27th. Would they make the trip for two fests they've already played and don't need the exposure? Maybe.....
So what's everyone think of Wayhome? Personally not a huge fan but I can see why some are. I'm still pretty certain Osheaga will come out with a better lineup. Headliners aren't everything and Osheaga consistently nails the undercard imo

Its personally love it. LCD and Arcade Fire are my two favorite bands of all time, and seeing them at a camping festival, where they can have a longer set and entirely at night, is a dream come true, especially at only $150 USD, plus split camping price among my group.
I'm going to make a statement that I'm ready for others to attack: I will be sad if it is AF instead of RH; I like AF, of course, but I don't have the kind of deep seeded love for them that a lot of people around here do. Even though I agree they certainly are amazing live. I got to see them for free at a pretty small venue back in like 2008, as part of an Obama campaign fundraiser.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Given that they finished the Reflector tour at Park Jean Drapeau in 2014, Arcade Fire would probably see it as a downgrade to play there again at a festival in lieu of their own show.
Radiohead did their own show there as well in 2008, but that was an eternity ago for today's live scene.
Why not? LCD SS has a very impressive management/booking agent, but Radiohead has way more power.
Why would Wayhome be cool with their #1 being #2 at a fest that is so close in both location and time to their own? Just doesn't make sense to me.
Wayhome could certainly have placed a radius clause on LCD that stretches into Montreal. Would LCD's management have gone along with that? Perhaps. But it's a seller's market; the headliners have most of the power.

And I would fucking die if Osheaga had Depeche Mode and Portishead this year, but the former is extremely unlikely since it'd be outside their established album/tour cycle.
