Why would anyone need a full day at Animal Kingdom? There are 2 things worth doing in the entire park.
Generally I agree. Safari, Dinosaur, Everest a dozen times in a row through the single rider line and you are good to go. Half a day does it.
Having said that, even though it is at the bottom of my list, I do love it, and in terms of the overall feel, setting, atmosphere, etc., I think it is the most fully realized park.
I live in Orlando, Epcot in the one slot is the only correct ranking.
That's why they sell an Epcot annual pass but no other single park annual pass.
They also charge more money for tickets to Magic Kingdom than the other 3 parks, including Epcot.
Epcot is great for adults, even if drinking around the world is expensive and overrated, but Magic Kingdom is clearly the best.
All depends on what you're looking to do I guess. Epcot has some thrill rides, some good nostalgia, and the drinking. MK is like being a kid again, but isn't the best for adults overall.
I'll be at MK this Saturday actually, maybe my tune will change, its been a few years.
At Osheaga last year RHCP had a bigger crowd than Radiohead. Nuff said
I wish there was a way to measure how many people would not have attended the festival if RHCP or Radiohead weren't on the lineup. That would be the ideal statistic.
Crowd size isn't that great of a barometer because, for all we know, RHCP's crowd could have been filled with people who were at the festival regardless for totally other reasons and different bands. They may have been like "eh might as well see RHCP now that I'm here. I know some of their songs and haven't heard of Radiohead."
But what if 75% of Radiohead's crowd would not have attended the fest if it weren't for Radiohead being on the lineup. Maybe because Radiohead has a diehard following that is willing to travel for them.
That's what I meant
the very nature of pop-oriented acts is that they'll attract a lot of casual fans, but not necessarily die-hards. You can point to the big crowds this year for Macklemore and Ellie Goulding, but it's because people just know their music and want to check it out, not because they were the reason anyone went to Bonnaroo last year
RHCP, in addition to being a pop act, also tours pretty constantly, essentially hitting every US City once every couple years. They will certainly have a big crowd at Bonnaroo, but they're not an act that is going to pull people to Manchester, TN on their own
I say this as a big fan of the Chili Peppers; I've had so many opportunities to see them over the years that I've skipped them several times and still seen them 3 times

This is the park with the Drink Around the World thing right? I'm 29 and my gf desperately wants to do that for a birthday present in the next few years. It's like a bucket-list item for her.

I'm honestly starting to wonder what ticket sales would have been last year had you replaced PJ and the Dead with Weeknd and RHCP.
Would it go up or down? I saw a lot of people last year that came only for one or the other of those two acts.
I think this concept matters a lot more for Bonnaroo in particular because you're asking people to camp in the blazing sun in Tennessee. You have to be passionate about what you're getting in return. It's tough for me to believe that Ellie Goulding or Lorde will sway one person's mind about making the commitment. Yet, they will have some of the biggest crowds of the weekend. Because, fuck it I just came for the party and the EDM, def catching Ellie. And, in a sense, I think those attendees are locked in almost regardless of lineup.
Someone also posted a video on inforoo of Bono ranting about Trump, does he go off on speeches like that a lot during his shows or? Jw
God I fucking hope so
The Joshua Tree was heavily influenced by Reagan-era policies and what was going on in America at the time. I have a feeling part of the reason they're celebrating JT is due to how relevant it has become again, in regards to Brexit, Trump, nationalist views, etc.
I will almost guarantee that during "Bullet the Blue Sky" Bono will address Trump in some manner...and I can't wait!
It seems like every musician on the planet hates Trump so I'm already preparing myself for some political ranting but idc. I didn't go last year but some of my friends that did said Eddie was real bad with it last year and they're big Pearl Jam fans. Like it got to the point where it was ruining the show for them.
I live in orlando and a lot of my friends prefer disney. They claim it's nosalgia over the rides and such but seriously none of them give a thrill except that yeti ride or whatever. I enjoy islands and universal significantly more than any of the disney parks, even though epcot is the only one i consider remotely worth going to.

Definitely agree on Universal. That Harry Potter ride took my breath away the first time I rode it. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything Jurassic Park-related.

I wasn't a Pearl Jam fan and left the show super impressed. I thought his trump comments were funny. If it's ruining a show just don't listen for like 30 seconds.
