Could someone provide a realistic top 10 with those headliners that would be as bad/worse than this years? To me the options in play for the 4-10 spots don't leave much room for across-the-board mediocrity.
U2 - RHCP - The Weeknd - Lana Del Rey - Kygo - The Lumineers - G-Eazy - Pretty Lights - The 1975 - Jim James

U2 - RHCP - The Weekend 21 Pilots - Chance the Rapper - Major Lazer - The Lumineers - Pretty Lights - The Flaming Lips - The 1975

I enjoy some of these bands but none of this would particularly excite me aside from Chance.
You both win. Although I can't imagine them going from booking MMJ 7th to booking Jim James 10th. Regardless those are both hard passes for me, even if I have to miss U2's fest debut. I feel like Roo has a choice of Lumineers, Ryan Adams, and Fleet Foxes for top 10 folk act, let's hope they don't fuck it up.
Why? U2 is a great booking. They have never done any stateside festivals (unless you count iheartradio). Thats a huge deal and a big win for Roo. The Weeknd puts on an amazing live show from all that I have heard. RHCP are the shits, but still a massive draw.
That is a very solid top line, if true. I am stoked to see the undercard.
Because I am not a fan of either U2 or RHCP and I have seen the Weeknd three times. I get it will be a massive draw for others, but it is depressing because unless the undercard is fantastic, this will NOT get me back next year.
I like U2 - RHCP - The Weeknd as headliners. RHCP is really the only one I'm eh about.
I also agree with the points being made about the undercard. Saturday this year was just plain boring expect for Pearl Jam to be honest. I would have loved to be in centeroo early catching some daytime acts but there just wasn't anything interesting.

Shakey Graves, Hiss Golden Messenger, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, caribou, Robert plant, Florence, spoon, punch brothers, mick Jenkins and Shabazz palaces all played that Sunday.
Idgaf about hiss golden messenger, I was really excited about Freddie but that was a shit show and really disappointed me, Shabazz was underwhelming, shakey graves was pretty good, and there was a conflict between Plant and Caribou (and to top it off, I think Florence over-lapped with the beginning of Caribou) So, like I said, arguably the weakest Sunday of Roo ever. Oh, and I think punch brothers over-lapped with Freddie

Dang :/ U2 and RHCP are total busts for me. The Weeknd I could take or leave, I'm sure it will be alright at worst, and a fun time at best. Ah well, the headliners weren't for me in 2015 and I still had a fun time without going to their sets. Bring on that undercard!
