I think U2 is too large a draw to close out the fest. RHCP will play their typical 2hr generic set that they'll play all tour and are certainly old and white enough to be Sunday night.
If there's any doubt about U2 being able to move tickets, I just looked up their last tour and they played 8 sold out shows at MSG in NYC, 4 nights in Boston, 5 in Chicago, 5 in LA, 4 in Montreal...all at 18K capacity venues, that's pretty insane.

Why wouldn't the largest draw close out the festival?
I'm probably alone on this, but I might cry when the Edge starts playing his part on Where the Streets Have No Names.
not a U2 fan, but its the kind of set i could see myself leaving with, at a minimum, the pre-cries, with the thought in my head, "ok U2, I understand you now".

Exactly what KatieMae said.
U2 seems better suited for Friday night, when the crowds are the largest.

Replace The Avett Bros with Major Lazer/replace Justice with anybody else and I could see it (without looking up past appearances/2017 tour schedules).

Yeah, Justice is my too optimistic wishful thinking. It will probably end up being Martin Garrix or something

Would y'all rather have Duran Duran or Hall & Oates as the throwback act in the Top 10? I personally would want Hall & Oates, but I know they just played Pilgrimage.

Saw Hall & Oats 2 years ago and it may have been my favorite concert I've ever attended. Just hit after hit after hit.
