I thought RHCP were speculated by their tour dates. How is that 100%. Same with the Weekend. Besides inside knowledge of them being there. Any confirmation like in an email for physical prof. Same with U2. Cause that doesn't seem like 100% to me
The only concrete proof you'll get is when the lineup drops in February. So either trust the info here or go back to a Reddit. Also, learn how to use question marks and spell The "Weeknd."
I don't use Reddit, and sorry my phone autocorrects The Weeknd to Weekend. Seems like he's the one who needs to learn how to spell. All I was doing was asking if there was any concrete proof that could be shared. I still believe those are our headliners since no one else has any leads. Just was asking what the reasoning were or if they were just being self confirmed by someone.

I don't think you could sound more like a douche even if you tried

Muse would've been better than RHCP, but the latter will help sell more tickets.
Agreed, although personally having already seen Muse and enjoying RHCP's music enough to watch part of their set for bucket list's sake, I'm alright with them
If given the choice, why would Bonnaroo go with RHCP over Muse? Muse puts on a much more exciting live show and wouldn't be a repeat headliner. I guess you could argue RHCP is more popular, but they would have already played everywhere by the time they get to Bonnaroo.
I think one of the thing we will be seeing on this lineup is a lot of past acts coming back. I think this lineup will have a lot of Bonnaroo favorites like Chance, Jim James, The Avett Brothers, Cage the Elephant, with a lot of Live Nation filler pop stuff.
I think that's also why Red Hot Chili Peppers are back. I remember reading they had an extremely crowded show in 2012, and if that's the case, it's a safe bet they can move tickets.

Yeah, I can imagine them playing it super safe with the undercard. No need to put something stupid or expensive out there after you got U2

I'd really like to know how much they are paying U2. Even if they did get them for a package deal with Roo, Lolla, and ACL, the per show numbers must be enormous.
Gnr was arguably the most improbable reunion of all time. Slash and Axl had what appeared to be irreconcilable differences. Furthermore Axl appeared to be completely insane.
Also gnr is one of the greatest rock acts of all time.
Gnr reunion was up there with Talking Heads and The Smiths reunions.

I was wondering if bigger was being defined in terms of excitement/unique-ness for lack of a better term or potential monetary draw. GnR fits the former, but U2 fits the latter.
Well, I don't know how you compare "draw" but I doubt U2 will be matching GnRs $7 million payday.
