Oh, I know. I already skipped this year for Lolla (but can't go because of a work opportunity.) It's just nearly impossible to see most of those artists when you live in the shithole that is Florida.
Being more realistic, out of that list, I could see them maybe booking Fleet Foxes, Sigur Ros, Grimes, Skepta, Modest Mouse, M.I.A., JR JR, and Anderson .Paak next year if I am extremely lucky
Granted you live in Lakeland, so it'd be impossible to see almost any artist anyway.
Out of all the acts you want that are touring actively in America, over half of them either played Florida over the past two years or will be playing FL this year.
Oh trust me, I know. I've spent large sums of money seeing as many of them as possible. But, I rely on the fests for the acts that are more rare and don't come down here (I'm looking at you, Sigur Rós!) I may get to see .Paak at Hula if the schedule justifies a day ticket, seen Modest. Mouse twice already so I don't wanna pay for em again (plus I don't like Brand New), Fleet Foxes have been dormant, Grimes hasn't come down, EITS hasn't been down here, I'm pretty sure Skepta hasn't been down here.
Mind you, if you're including acts that have played Miami then I "had a chance" to many more of the acts than otherwise speaking. But, Miami is at least four hours from me, so that's not a very viable option to just be running back and forth for shows.

Same here to a degree, as I would use Bonnaroo to see a lot of those type of acts. But, with Okeechobee now a thing, it seems Florida may have a multigenre fest that at least snags some gets.
Sigur Rós did play Tampa in on their previous tour, and it's very possible they play FL again. Can't really count FF as a touring act. Grimes opened for Florence in FL and played with Lana last summer I believe, so she may not end up playing her own headlining show. I'd say EITS has a good chance of scheduling some dates since they played a few FL shows on their last tour.
Yeah, since Miami constitutes being apart of FL we have to count their shows for sake of argument.
With the Aerosmith Farewell tour do you guys see it as a possibility? I could see it and while they don't blow me away I would be down. Would that be a big in demand show? Beyoncé/ Arcade Fire/ Aerosmith/ Beck/ Chance the Rapper/ Pretty Lights/ Fleet Foxes/ Kygo/ Ryan Adams/ Hall & Oates
Would be a dream come true for me.

Just realized that 2017 will be the 40-year anniversary of the release of Rumours. With a new album and final world tour looming, perhaps Fleetwood Mac will take advantage of this and hit the road again in 2017.
Bob Seger? Beyoncé/ Arcade Fire/ Bob Seger/ Beck/ Chance the Rapper/ Pretty Lights/ Fleet Foxes/ Kygo/ Ryan Adams/ Hall & Oates

Yes.
It's not that I hate Aerosmith or anything. I just can't think of a classic rock band I'd be less excited for than fucking Aerosmith.
Agreed. I feel like Aerosmith is one of those bands every boy gets hooked on when they discover classic rock in high school. Then you go to college and stop listening to them once you realize there's much better music waiting to be discovered. Or maybe I'm just speaking from personal experience.
Why so sure? If the Aerosmith "farewell" tour ends up being partnered with Live Nation, they strike me as a textbook Bonnaroo Sunday closer.
Cause they play 2nd tier arenas and state fairs and shit. They're much closer to ZZ Top than they are to Elton John. I could maybe see them getting a kitschy Lionel Richie type booking, but no while they're in the midst of a "farewell" tour no one asked for.
Oh yeah, these guys, not-so-secretly hate each other. You will never see them together again. I forget which one (they've all been on at one time or another), but one of them was on Howard Stern late last year and said they've constantly turned down dump trucks of money to get back together for a tour.
Google tells me you're right, crap. I'm just trying to think of the classic rock bands that are left.
Journey drew 35k (per Sang) at Music Midtown. That was just about 10k shy of Bonnaroo's total attendance this year (according to that guy's vendor friend)

They're bigger than ZZ Top, for sure. I'd say they're about equal with Tom Petty for popularity. Again, I hate them, but they're not playing state fairs, they're still holding down bigger venues. Nothing huge, but Tom Petty and Dave Mathews are playing the same size places.

You are likely thinking of Crosby. That's also the interview where he apologized to Young and his wife for calling her names and basically blaming her for them not playing together more. I'm sure it was much uglier behind the scenes.

I got free tickets to see CSN&Y in 2006, and someone stole them out of my glove compartment while I was working. Still mad about that.
