Anderson .Paak? I think he makes a lot of sense. Might have been off their radar before Malibu dropped, but he's been receiving a lot of praise for it and I think will make a big jump in popularity. I think it's be a great move to get him as a late add
my friends are really really pushing for Roo instead of Wayhome. I hope one of them if not both get him.
Last year artist additions came one week after the daily schedule announcement in March. Since this is the 15th Roo I'm expecting at least two of these three for additions: Arcade Fire, Prince, or Neil Young. The best is yet to come.
I'm going to go ahead and guess at most, zero of those will be added. I would guess Violent Femmes to be an add. They released the a new album and the first leg of their tour so it seems a bit logical.
Right you are. I see the Femmes are hittin the late night talk show to promote the new album so let's check that out before we get our hopes up for a VF add. But I think they would be a nice add unless they suck now. 1985 was a long time ago.
This was three years ago, but Violent Femmes killed it at Coachella in 2013. It was their first live performance of the entire Violent Femmes album, and it slayed.
What was really great about it was they just came out and fucking played it. No marketing bullshit around "see this band play a classic album," they just started playing and by the third song everyone was going nuts.
Still a great band. I wouldn't be supervised if their new album is completely legit.

Yep.
God, how great was that fucking lineup?
Remember when a very vocal majority were pissed about the headliners? Foolish.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

I think Michael Franti & Spearhead could be likely. They just announced dates, touring heavily late May to late August, open June 9-11, and no Tennessee dates.

It's a stretch to even call it a long shot, but I see Benjamin Clementine is playing some rare US shows in June. It would be great if Livenation/AC got him to Tennessee.
Also, I'd love to see SheerMag added. Maybe as a cafe act. Looking at the bottom of the lineup, I'd almost say they're on the brink of being too big of a name. Roo did have budding stars Elle King and Raury play the Who last year though.

i would definitely get down on some crystal castles, even without alice glass. not super into watching someone roll around on stage with downing a bottle of jack anyway.

How's the new vocalist? I saw them a couple times back in the day and loved the show. Not sure how I would feel about it without Alice.

haven't seen them live yet, but i like the new stuff they're putting out just fine. honestly i didn't see them back in the day either, which is why i'm glad they're performing again, even sans alice.
